• I really like the direction the show is going with Belle. I like that when Rumpelstiltskin kept doing magic and then refused to be honest with her about why she left. I liked her standing up to her dad and the way she cut both men out of her life in the mine. If neither of them were going to respect her then she didn't want them in her life and that's great. Yes, she let Rumpelstiltskin back in at the end - not because of the library but because he opened up to her, he was emotionally honest, and that is what she has wanted from the beginning and what he refused or couldn't give her. So that worked for me too.
• Ruby/Belle were wonderful. I love their burgeoning friendship and hope we get to see more.
• Ruby was great. I loved how kind she was with Belle and how she took Belle under her wing. I loved her using her werewolf sense of smell to help find her.
• I like that Belle is going to be the new librarian. Very appropriate. I also really appreciate that it has an apartment above it for her to live in so that she can start her life going forward not having to rely on anyone else. Also I really want a scene of Belle walking down the street with her nose in a book.
• I loved the little bits of Belle learning about this new world. How much she loved iced tea and Ruby explaining about how to eat pancakes and syrup.
• I like that all of Belle's rescuers were needed to save her. Ruby to smell out her trail and find the last place she'd been, Charming to figure out where she'd been taken and Rumpelstiltskin to bring the mining cart back.
• What Belle's dad tried to do to her was horrifying. Your memories make you who you are and for someone to purposefully try to remove them because they don't like your choices... For me this makes Belle's dad the worst parent on the show. Yes, even more than Cora. Cora tried to control her daughter, she terrorized her, but she never actually tried to change who Regina was.
• I was so amused by Rumpelstiltskin asking Charming for relationship advice. Their scenes continue to be great.
• I continue to love Charming so much more than David.
• I do love that the most important person in Rumpelstiltskin's life is his son. In a show so much about true love/romantic love it's great that parental love is just as important.
• So Mr. Gold is : Rumpelstiltskin, The Beast and now the Crocodile as well? ... lol, okay show fine. I was torn about Rumpelstiltskin being the Beast - I didn't like them being conflated but I liked what the show did with it. Him being Captain Hook's crocodile as well leaves me feeling the same except that I'm also really amused. Just how many characters is he going to be? I'm not sure if I want them to keep making him be random bad guys from Fairy Tales or if they should stop here.
• Shouldn't Charming be the Mayor instead of the Sheriff? Or is he doing both jobs now?
