Risk Management
• I loved everything the show did with Joan and the subject of her safety this episode. So, so much love for Joan and her refusal to be 'protected' by the men in her life. She's an adult who knew exactly what she was getting into when she chose to become Sherlock's partner and she is fully capable of deciding to leave and doesn't need anyone else to make that choice for her.
- "I have a gun." / "And a penis." - loved Watson calling out Gregson on that.
- I was so happy when Joan showed up at the mansion at the end. Her using her new detective skills and her knowledge of Sherlock to realise he was lying to her and figure out where he was. Her refusing to let him sideline her because she is his partner. ♥
• Joan/Sherlock as always continue to be wonderful. I really loved that when Joan asked about who Irene was as a person Sherlock actually opened up and told Joan about her.
• "For what it's worth he's not bringing his wife either." - Sherlock. Heh. I loved Joan's little smile.
• Interesting that Moriarty thinks that Sherlock would 'excel' as an assassin. Now I want that AU.
• Also loved: Sherlock's expression at the end when he sees the paintings and recognises them and slowly realises what that has to mean. JLM was excellent in that scene.
