Claymore Thoughts

iariaI finished the anime and I enjoyed it. It makes me want to immediately start reading the manga.
- It occurs to me that with the Claymore’s abilities to re-attach and re-grow limbs, and with the limbs holding their own abilities, you could play mix and match and create your own Frankenstein Claymore.
Episodes 15-17
- Clare creating a new attack was excellent.
- I like the little girl Awakened Being but how are they ever going to defeat her?
- Clare + Galatea + Jean = awesome
- Ugh, to the most powerful Awakened Being being male. Or maybe I heard it wrong?
- Yay to Galatea letting them go.
Episodes 18-22
- A huge gathering of claymore makes me happy. I loved that Deneva, Helen and Miria were all there.
- “It’s been too long old friend” – Miria That gave me a warm glow.
- “Ilena help me.” – Clare :D
- I love how they make Clare stronger, give her more power and abilities, and yet still manage to make her not too over-powered. She still gets her butt kicked all the time and it’s believable despite how powerful she is.
- Raki meeting and joining up with Priscilla and the Silver King made me go ‘of course he would’. Him bonding with Priscilla (despite watching her eat a person) also makes sense to me because now it’s going to put him right between Clare and her revenge.
- Why are all the northern Awakened Beings, except Priscilla, male?
- If Udine were less cocky she could have maybe even defeated the youma. Still she actually is a really impressive fighter.
- Love Deneva and Clare pushing themselves to Awakened.
- The future of Claymore’s is clearly for them all to become Awakened Claymores.
- I was pretty sad at Udine’s death. And I actually missed the fact that Flores was killed it happened so fast.
- Uh. Have all the Claymore’s other than those in the Rigaldo fight been killed? If so when the hell did that happen? If not then where are they during the Rigaldo fight? Are they fighting other Awakened Beings?
- Unless it is the Claymore organisation’s intention to kill off their fighters I don’t think they thought through sending pretty much all their Claymore’s north enough.
Episode 23
- Raki wanting to protect Clare is nice I suppose but oh so delusional. Mostly I’m annoyed because not only will he not help her he’ll probably get in the way and get her hurt.
- Oh good. More of the Claymore’s are alive.
- Ha. Loved Helen destroying Rigaldo’s lost arm in front of him.
- Clare has power but not the control, experience or knowledge to know how to use it.
- Considering how much damage the Clare/Rigaldo fight is causing shouldn’t the hiding/injured Claymores move a little further away?
Episode 24
- Helen’s reaction to Clare’s request that she kill her seemed a bit off. It’s a part of being a Claymore – that you will one day have to take a good friend’s head to prevent her from Awakening. I understand her denial at first and the tears but it just dragged on for so long.
- The Silver King is kind to animals so point to him.
Episode 25
- Aw Raki and Jean bonding over their shared love for Clare.
- I am so worried about Miria et al. I want unknown Claymore’s fighting instead!
- I don’t understand why Miria, Deneva and Helen are alive, why Priscilla didn't kill them, but I don’t care because I am just so happy they survived.
Episode 26
- I knew it! I knew Raki would end up standing between Priscilla and Clare in the end.
- Raki’s speech was inspirational and all that but what he seems to be forgetting is that Priscilla is a youma! She eats humans! Yes, for Clare right then it was all about revenge for Priscilla killing Theresa but in the end Priscilla is exactly one of the beings that Claymore's were created to kill and Clare would be trying to kill her anyway. Way to miss the point, Raki.
- I love that it’s Jean who saves Clare from Awakening completely with her love and not Raki.
- Oh, Jean. I didn’t want her to die either.
- “There’s nothing for me to live for in this world.” Uh. Really Clare? That made me feel bad for Raki. I mean he just confessed his love!
