Once Upon a Time Thoughts
Oct. 8th, 2013 11:04 pmA couple thoughts on the first two episodes.
3x01 & 3x02
• I'm most interested to know more about the possible connection between Peter Pan and Emma because I feel like there has to be one. Pan was just so focused on Emma. The whole riddle which culminated in her having to accept that she is/was a lost girl herself. I mean in their final discussion he tells her that not only will Henry not want to leave with her but that by the time he's finished she'll be an orphan for real. How is this not personal? What does he have against her? Is it because she's the saviour? I'm very interested in seeing more of Emma/Pan.
• I also really like what they're doing with Emma thus far this season. I loved the whole orphan/lost girl stuff in episode 2 and I really hope the show keeps exploring that.
• I loved the Snow/Emma interactions. They continue to be one of the best parts of this show.
• "My mom's coming to get me. Both of them." - Henry. Still love these moments.
• Emma's place being as 'a mother' loses a little omph considering both Snow and Regina are mothers as well.
• I was a bit annoyed that we didn't get anyone's reaction to Neal's revelation that he's Rumplestiltskin's son. The duh duh duh moment is great but you need the reactions afterward as well.
• It's too bad that we didn't get to see any of Aurora and Mulan's quest. Still it was great to see them again.
• I like that Charming gets the chance to jump in after Emma this time.
• Why wouldn't Regina use her magic to bring Emma and Charming to the ship as soon as they reached the surface?
"Actually, I quite fancy you from time to time when you're not yelling at me." - Hook. I've been enjoying what we've gotten between Hook/Emma thus far.
