Pond Life: Was delightful and fun. Well, till the end. It reminded me just how much I love the Doctor and this show. I loved the Pond's reactions to the Doctor's shenanigans especially his middle night visit to their room. They have a rule about the bedroom! LOL. And then the Doctor had the wrong time and his less than reassuring "sleep well" and Rory's "I really hate it when he does that" was hilarious. Oh, and the Ood! Loved the Ood and them guiltily loving him.

'Asylum of the Daleks'

That was - okay. It was great to see the Doctor again but the episode didn't really engage me that much and there was one thing I really hated.

• I really liked Oswin. She was a lot of fun. I was not expecting her to be a Dalek so that was a neat twist that really worked. I wonder how they're going to have her be the next companion?

"What's another word for total screaming genius that's modest and a little bit sexy?" - Oswin
"The Doctor." - Doctor
.

• Why did Oswin look like a Dalek when all the other converted humans continued to look human except with occasional Dalek accoutrements? This - the human dalek's - is what had me most interested. That's very new. Perhaps they've been spending too much time with the cybermen. The people Amy saw - could they have actually been real? Like Oswin, they're actually the memories of the humans taken by the Dalek's and converted?

• 'The Predator'? The idea behind it works for me but it just sounds weird. I prefer The Oncoming Storm.

• The Doctor/Amy interactions were excellent. I loved him sneaking his bracelet onto her arm.

• The Amy/Rory storyline was - horrible. I hated it. It was forced and made mo sense. It didn't even seem to work well with the end of Pond Life which appeared to be Rory storming out after a fight and then has Amy stating out loud that they need the Doctor. How does that fit in?

So let me get this straight: Amy learned that she couldn't have anymore kids, this caused friction between her and Rory (... maybe) and she preemptively kicked him out so that he would be free to have the kids she knows he's always wanted? WTF, Amy? And this is apparently supposed to show that Amy does love Rory just as much as he loves her? Because she gave him up selflessly so he could have what he always wanted and omg, I hate it all. So stupid.

It's freaking called adoption! And if Rory having biological children is important there are surrogates. Or, hell, they have access to the future and alien technology I'm sure there's some help somewhere.

But frankly this seems far more Amy's problem than Rory's. It appears that he didn't even know why they broke up which means they never talked, in depth at least, about this issue. Amy just unilaterally decided to end their relationship - after everything they'd been through including him guarding her for two thousand years - because she'd decided for him that kids were more important than their relationship. Kids that they can totally have! Arg. So irritating.
