Save Henry

I didn't really like this episode which was disappointing after three in a row I did.

• I really dislike Snow’s decision to stay on the island with David. And the whole way she spoke about the decision as if there was no real choice to make. First, their whole relationship was true love, yes, but it was surrounded by the idea that they would always find each other. That was their thing. So why act as if staying was the only choice? Why wouldn’t they plan for her to return to Storybrook to find a way to save him? And in the process not abandoning their daughter again.

Which leads me to: Second, are we really to believe that Snow, who last season jumped into a portal after their daughter because she refused to abandoned her again, would just a) give up looking for solutions, and b) choose to stay with David instead of returning to Storybrook with Emma? Seriously?! Because I'm having a hard time buying it.

• Pandora's Box was rather a disappointed. Considering the ways it was talked about - Rumpelstiltskin calls it 'a fate worse than death', Belle says the box contains 'the world's darkest evil' - I was expecting something a lot more than just a box that traps people inside. I wondered if being trapped inside changed a person somehow (ate their magic/soul?), or if more time passed faster, or if it became the tapped person's own personal hell. Judging however by Rumpelstiltskin when he was freed - it was just a box.

• I realise this was Regina's 'mom' episode but it was weird how not involved Emma was after he woke. I understand her letting Regina have a private moment with him (when she put him to bed) and I thought that was really generous and nice of Emma but why didn't she take a moment when Regina left? Why didn't she stop to make sure he was doing all right when he came up on deck?

More importantly where the heck was everyone else after Peter Pan's attack on Henry? Neal was there when Rumpelstiltskin sensed something wrong but he wasn't curious enough to follow his dad? Uh huh. Then we have Regina running in afterward, in a panic, but only Regina. Did no one else hear what was happen? Did no one see Regina take off for the cabin? It was weird.

• Why would Regina leave Henry alone in the first place. It’s not like she had anywhere to be.

• I liked that it was Emma, Regina and Snow who went after Pan but it doesn't really make sense that they didn't have a guide with them. Tink (my vote!), Hook, Neal, a Lost Boy... considering how this entire time they needed help getting around the island every step of the way it stuck out.

Finally, one thing I liked:

• The short Regina/Tinkerbell scene on the ship was lovely. Regina was actually being rather friendly. It'd be nice to see that built on.
