3x13 'Witch Hunt':

• I loved Emma and Regina working together. I loved how Emma was with Regina. All their scenes were excellent.

• I love the reveal that Zelena is Regina's older sister but I'm not entirely sold on Zelena's motivations for what she's doing. We'll see how it goes.

• Does this mean that Regina is the wicked witch of the east? Are the other witches even Zelena's sisters in this version?

• Grumpy had the best line of the episode:

"Are we talking East or West?" - Grumpy
"Does it matter? Neither one sounds good." - Snow
"Well, one you drop a house on, the other you toss a bucket of water at." - Grumpy.
LOL.

• It was really weird how little Snow was involved in what was happening in town. She wasn't at the town line or the town meeting, and didn't seem involved in any way with Emma's plan. I guess she was babysitting Henry but eh, it bugged me.

• It was so great to see Red again.

• The Regina/Henry meeting at the end was awkward and not just because it was supposed to be awkward. It just felt off.

• David had two lines I loved. First, when Regina asserts that she never met the wicked witch - "So, this time it isn't a personal vendetta. Shocking!" Heh. Second, when Hook teases Emma about almost marrying a flying monkey David is immediately distracted and is all "You were going to marry someone?" It was such a lovely little dad moment. I love those moments.

• So flying monkeys are created and are originally normal people. I wonder who Walsh was? Maybe an Oz character?

3x14 'The Tower'

• I loved the opening scene/Charming's dream. Everything about it was so perfect - Princess Emma in a dress! Emma and Charming dancing! And Charming's heartbreaking reaction to her being sucked away. The show did an amazing job at showing how devastating losing Emma for so long continues to be for him.

• I really liked the Regina/Henry scene. It was lovely.

• This was a really interesting take on the Rapunzel story and for the most part I liked it. I liked how this version gave her a lot more agency (she went to the tower herself instead of being taken as a baby); that she was afraid of not being a good enough leader and guilty over her brother's death and went on a quest looking for courage; and that in the end she had to save herself.

I just wish it had been more her story and less Charming's. So in the tower we get Rapunzel finally overcoming her doppelganger to save Charming but without Charming basically handholds her through it. That was annoying and made it feel a lot more about him than her and I don't think that was necessary (especially considering he gets his own showdown later).

• I didn't like the scene where Charming and Rapunzel returned to Regina's castle. The whole thing was done so badly. So Rapunzel's parents just happened to be at the castle too? Uh, why? Are we supposed to assume that they were in Storybroke? Just how long was Rapunzel in that tower? If not then why the heck were they there? Everyone parting when they arrived was weird. How did everyone know who Rapunzel was and thus where she was being lead to? And what was up with Regina and Belle standing together?

• So... did Zelena take Charming's courage, as in it was transferred to his sword hilt and now he no longer has it, or did he just give the sword hilt the aura/power of courage but it doesn't affect him at all? Does this make Charming the Cowardly Lion?

• Snow once again felt sidelined which was weird and kind of annoying. Pregnancy shouldn't immediately equal being sidelined out of the main conflict. Also while the show has done really great at showing us Charming's fears and feelings we haven't gotten much from Snow on that front. I really hope we get Snow/Emma talking in the next episode.

• So Hook's acting a bit suspiciously and he's obviously not telling the whole truth. It might be a red herring or it might be that he's being forced to work for Zelena somehow? I would wonder if Zelena had used the family magic trick of stealing hearts except Hook seems as emotional towards Emma as ever.

• I really liked the Hook/Emma scene out in the woods.
