I liked it.

• I like outbreak stories and this was pretty good. As an assassination technique this was actually great. It made humans sick for a short while but nothing worse while killing the intended targets from a distance.

"Scott's worth 25, Kira's 6. They'll take you guys out way before me." - Malia. LMAO. I love Malia. I love how Stiles is worried about how she was reacting and she was just making calculations about her potential survival. I also love Stiles "it's progress" refrain with her.

• Stiles/Malia were actually really adorable and sweet. I loved him cuddling her in the vault. I loved his gentle goodbye to her when he had to leave. I loved how touchy-feely he was with her - he was constantly touching and petting her. So much affection. I loved the head kiss. I loved: ""Yeah. I'd never leave you behind."

All that said...

• Fuck you, Stiles! Not telling Malia the truth was not him decision to make. It's actually bothered me for awhile that they're all still keeping this a secret but Stiles justifications to Scott really pissed me off. It's her life. It's her family. If she wants to try a relationship with Peter it's her (bad) decision to make. Keeping the truth to 'protect her for her own good' is just... shut up, Stiles. She is not a child.

• I was so glad when Malia walked away from Stiles at the end without a word.

• I wish that it was Kira who got the cure - she's the one who was looking at it earlier and we already know that the disease was affecting her differently. It would have been nice if she could have had the hero moment.

• This was a great episode for the adults of the show.

- Deaton really is a badass. I love that apparently Satomi was his teacher/mentor and that her chosen method of saying hi is to test his skills. I also love him and Melissa working together. I bet he's really pleased to have nurse Melissa and the sheriff in the know now. I wish we could see them interacting more.

- Satomi is a massive badass. Her taking out the assassin at the end, dodging bullets, using her anger... awesome. Imagine if she'd shown up in season 1 or mentored Alpha Derek in season 2.

- Natalie Martin was awesome. I liked how quickly she realised something was really wrong and how decisive she acted. I liked how well she kept it together.

• And then there was that first scene with Flintstock. I seriously loved that scene. I loved how much characterisation and implied history the show managed to shove into only a couple minutes and with one of the people unconscious. It implied that they've been good friends for a very long time and now I really want to know more about it. I loved her sadness over thinking he'd fallen off the wagon after 15 years, the way she sighed "oh, Bobby", her gentleness with him and then covering for him with the proctor. I may kind of ship it.

• I actually quite enjoy this show but sometimes it makes choices that make absolutely no sense in ways that drive me up the wall. This week: Why the hell would Melissa call Raphael instead of the Sheriff? Like it literally make no sense to me. The information she's passing on is stuff that could save her son and Rafael has no idea about what is really going on in town. Meanwhile the Sheriff is someone she works with a lot on this supernatural stuff and he should have been her first thought. I just... what? It bothers me. All I can think is that they wanted to give Raphael a) something to do, and b) let him save Stiles, as a hero moment. That should have been the Sheriff.

Are they not worried that he's going to be super curious now? Might wonder what exactly is going on? Also why wouldn't he follow Stiles when Stiles took off?

• The deus ex machina solution to the episode was dumb. I could have gone along with the whole tea/some kept in the vault situation, even though magic healing tea feels like cheating. But how they got to the tea revelation really didn't work. Satomi and Derek randomly deciding to chat about his mother/the past over the dead body at that moment? No. Also the fact that all Scott needed to do was knock over the jar and everyone was quickly healed was ridiculous.
