Once Upon a Time 4x01 Thoughts

• I loved Anna. I found her adorable and really charming. And I loved that she a) went on a journey to find the truth for her sister and b) left Kristoff behind to help Elsa.
• I like that Elsa's motivation is finding her sister.
• I also liked Kristoff quite a bit. Him trying to come up with a cover for Anna was amusing as was his "sister ... in-law".
• Emma reacted at the beginning exactly how I wanted her to: regret for inadvertantly hurting Regina but none for saving Marian's life. I love that she refused to apologise for saving Marian because she shouldn't.
- I also love that she went after Regina and tried to be supportive. The whole episode was her trying to be supportive of Regina which was nice. I loved her line at the end about how Henry brought her there to give everyone their happy endings - including Regina.
• I loved the shot of Regina and Emma on either side of the wall at the end.
• "No one's been incinerated yet so that's a good sign." - Charming. LOL.
• Wait, Sydney has been locked in the basement this whole time?! Just how many people does she have down there? I don't think it's that great of a redemption if she still has people locked away. Frankly, it looked like she had completely forgotten about him. Actually it looked like everyone did (... including me).
• Regina's first plan - to go back in time and kill Marian - was dumb. It was a major plot point of the Zelena arc that you can't change the past [except for that one specific, complicated, way Zelena discovered that probably couldn't be done again.]
- Her second plan to find the writer of The Book is definitely more interesting. I have no idea where they're going with it but I'm intrigued. I want to know more about the Book.
• The cosmic sorcerer's hat Rumpelstiltskin created at the end reminded me of Fantasia. I have no idea how that ties in to anything or what it could mean though.
• I liked how Robin dealt with the Regina/Marian situation. I liked less how he seems to be staying with Marian strictly out of duty. I want it to be more complicated then that because it is.
• I'm sad that there's no sign of Red. I really hope she's back this season.
