The 100 2x01 Review

Yay, it's back. I enjoyed this episode.
• How is Clarke so badass and awesome and perfect? I love her. Things I specifically loved:
- Clarke breaking out of her room when she noticed Monty missing. Took her less than a day to get free. Her taking Maya hostage with a piece of broken glass.
- Clark seeing the box of pretty clothing/jewellery and breaking off the heel of a high heel to use as a weapon. ♥
- Clarke figuring out without being told that the humans from space ended up protected because of solar radiation.
- Clarke stealing the key card, getting away from the guards and breaking the door so they couldn't follow her and almost getting out of the base.
- Clark getting art supplies from the president and immediately using them to further refine the map of the base.
• Also awesome: Raven! I loved her killing the Grounder even though she was seriously injured. I also really loved that she actually did try and shoot Murphy. This episode really showcased how much Raven and Clarke have changed and how ruthless their short time on Earth has made them.
• How the hell did the mountain men miss Raven when they were gathering up the 100? I don't see how they could have, she was hardly hiding, which only leaves them purposefully leaving her behind. So the question is: why would they leave her?
• "Yeah, I would have shot me, too." - Murphy. Loved that line, loved that he understood why she shot at him, loved that he didn't want to die alone.
• I loved the shot after Clarke broke out of her room - the white floor, the drops of her blood showing starkly against it, the glass. It felt very horror movie in a good way.
• "I know she's intense but Clarke's the only reason we survived." - Jasper. Well, not the only. I really liked Jasper talking Clarke down from opening the door.
• I love that everyone was so happy to see Clarke when she showed up but the show could have maybe thrown in a little of her being happy to see people other than Monty and Jasper. All it would have taken was her being mobbed by people after the Monty hug and he smiling and hugging a couple other people, asking if they were okay.
• I think the conflict between the adults and the 100 could be really fun. The 100, especially our main characters, have been running around in life and death situations, making all the decisions for themselves for that last however long. Of course they're not going to easily fall back into being told what to do. I can't wait till Clarke is reunited with them.
• I enjoyed Bellamy and Finn working together.
• I was really surprised to see Jaha at the end. I really thought he was gone. The fact that there is a baby on the space station, possibly more people, makes me think that he might actually end up surviving. Not sure how I feel about that yet because his 'death' in 1x13 was so well done and I loved how it played out. Him showing up again is - meh. It kind of invalidates what was a really great end.
