Smash the Mirror

• The Elsa/Emma scene was the best! ♥ It was a really beautiful scene. After the last episode I wanted a more substantial scene between them and this episode delivered. I loved the entire scene. Elsa saving Emma was so great. I think she's the only one who could have done so at that moment because she understood exactly what Emma was going through. I love that it was Emma that helped Elsa to understand how to learn control and that she then passed it on to Emma.

"You have to love yourself Emma. The good and the bad. The only way to ever truly be in control of your powers is to embrace them. Because this? This is who you are."

• I found Snow and Charming's reactions a little weird? At first they seemed almost devastated that Emma was going to remove her powers. I loved how unhappy and shocked they were about it. Then suddenly they were all 'maybe it's for the best??'.

• What dream world is Rumpelstiltskin living in that he thinks that using the hat on Emma is only betraying Emma and the Snow Queen? That's a level of self-delusion he doesn't usually go for (that's Regina's usual shtick). Taking out Emma betrays everyone who cares about her including his grandson, as well as Belle (by proving her trust false.) If he need to feed the hat more power he should have turned it on Ingrid since he was betraying her anyway. I have no idea how he thinks he's going to get away with this.

• I enjoyed the Emma/Rumpelstiltskin interactions. The scene at the manor was great even if he is a manipulative, lying weasel.

• The Regina/Snow scene was great. Everything Snow was saying was so true so hopefully Regina actually listens to her.

• I loved Henry with both his mothers. I love that he tracked down Emma (the only one who managed it!) and his determination to help her. I love that even after he was injured he still wasn't afraid of her. I loved Regina's talk with him and her reassuring him that he is special exactly as he was.

• Emma's casual "Hey mom, it's me." when she called Snow made me so happy. ♥

• Hook can just never win can he? Rumpel having control of him could be very interesting. I love that as soon as Rumpelstiltskin could potentially be a threat to Emma, Hook was immediately spilling his guts about his lies.

• Emma's joy at using her powers at the end was wonderful.

• I don't understand exactly what Ingrid's plan is here. I thought everything she has been doing was to get herself two new sisters. She wanted her family back. Now suddenly she's using their combined powers to cast the Spell of Shattered Sight on Storybrooke - why? What's the point of that? How does that help her achieve her desires? Shouldn't she be tracking down her two new sisters? She put pretty much complete trust in the sorcerer('s apprentice) when she gave up the hat and went through the doorway, and I was honestly really shocked by that, and it only makes her current actions make less sense to me. I don't see how that is going to help her get her sisters.

• I am looking forward to the possible Ingrid vs Rumpelstiltskin or Ingrid vs Emma and Elsa. Or: Ingrid/Emma/Elsa vs Rumpelstilskin? I doubt that would happen but I' probably enjoy.

• I love Regina and the Charmings getting along so well now but I still really enjoyed both of them pointing out the horrible things she's done in the past.

• Regina admitting to gaslighting Henry in season one made me really happy. Her taking responsibility for the wrongs she's committed is nice to see.

• I actually really liked the final Regina/Robin scene. Robin was speaking a lot of sense and it was a nice scene.

• Guessing now - the creator of Henry's Book is the sorcerer.

• Did Regina really choose 'evil' over Robin at the tavern? I don't think evil is the right word here. She chose revenge/vengeance over him.

• Regina wandering off from the search for Emma when she did made no sense. She's the one with magical powers! Emma had already accidentally hurt Henry. I can't believe that Regina would be willing to leave or that Snow would be all 'nah, I'm sure we won't need magical backup, go on'.

• Belle's absence was really noticeable. The episode was about her husband, took place for a large part in her places including a significant subplot in her library. I was really expecting her to be there when Robin and Will showed up and for her to end up helping them research. It would have been easy to add her in there (even though I admit this was a very crowded episode.)
