3x02 'Nothing to Hide': I loved the opening Finch/Shaw/Reese scene. You have to be impressed with Finch's ability to lose government trained agents so easily. I loved Reese's amusement.

3x03 ‘Lady Killer’

+ “The guy’s a chameleon. Organised, efficient, sociopathic. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” – Shaw. Honestly that sounds exactly like Shaw’s type. Also rather like Root.

+ I was disappointed with what we got with the Carter/Shaw/Zoe team-up, specifically that we never actually get to see much of anything. I really wanted a scene with them talking or at least kickass together. Sigh.

+ I loved Carter gushing over Shaw’s gun and Shaw being weirdly shy and smiley about it. It was actually really weird because I don’t think we’ve ever seen Shaw like that. She was so... open. As soon as she saw Carter’s gun she rushed to pull hers out to show it off but not in a bragging way. Rather she wanted to impress Carter. Her smile! The awkward sweetness of it was adorable. She clearly really wants to be Carter’s friend! It’s delightful. I hope we get a lot more of them.

- I also liked Zoe bringing out her taser (that Reese bought her, aww) so she could show off too.

3x04 ‘Reasonable Doubt’

+ I really love Shaw’s addition to the cast. She just adds a great chemistry to the show. Most of my favourite moments this episode involved her:

- I loved the little Shaw and Reese’s interaction over Bear – her displeasure when Bear ran to Reese as soon as he entered and Reese’s smug little smile. Such children.
- Her disbelief that they’ve never betted on which way a Number would go was great.
- Shaw at the book club. Amusing and I love how she doesn't even try to maintain her cover story.
- Shaw grabbing the letter opener – her expression the unwavering attention of someone feeling truly homicidal – and quietly Fusco wrestling it away from her was hilarious.

+ ”Of course not. (pause) Mr. Reese took care of that.” – Finch. Perfect encapsulation of their relationship.

3x05 ‘Razgovor’

I really enjoyed this episode.

+ ”Trust me he’s not the one you need to be worried about.” – Carter. Carter’s showdown with Laskey at the bar was amazing. She was so fucking badass. I love that she knew from the very beginning that he was an HR plant. I loved that she played him and had his gun just in case. ”You work for me now.” ♥

+ Shaw and Gen were great. I loved Shaw reluctantly bonding with her. I loved Shaw striding out of the mist to save her. Their last scene was really lovely. I loved Gen giving Shaw her grandfather’s medal, Gen’s understanding of Shaw’s emotional issues (her volume is too low) and Shaw reeling her back in for a tight hug. Particularly delightful was another little awkward Shaw moment where Gen smilingly tells her that she’s hurting her and Shaw lets her go but then pats her down several times to make sure she’s fine before sending her on the way. It was adorable.

+ ”I’m not punishing you for an error I’m protecting you because you’re hurt.” – Finch. There was some lovely Finch/Shaw interactions as well. I really loved this line in particular. Shaw starts the episode not sure what she’s even a part of [“I don’t even know what we are.”] and insists she’s only there for the dog but by the end I like to think she’s on the road to being one of the family. Finch hires her officially, Shaw was actually worried about being ‘fired’ for disobeying him because she doesn’t want to lose this new life she’s carving out for herself, and we get a sort of teasing over Shaw bugging Finch’s office.

+ I loved how Finch said “enough” and his smile (followed by the building blowing up).

+ Aw, Finch took Gen on as a ward. I love that so much. I love when Finch takes in strays. I hope she shows up again.

+ Reese putting away his gun and fighting it out with Simmons made me shake my head at him so much.
