The 100 3x01 Thoughts

It was okay.
+ Little moments I liked:
- I love that shot of the little kids running up to watch Bellamy's group leave Arkadia full of awe and hero worship.
- While I wasn't a fan of watching Clarke kill the panther I did love her reaction to it. The respect she showed with her "Your fight is over." and the sadness on her face.
- Lincoln running a training class - to which Harper and Monroe belong - was great. Hopefully we'll see a lot more of them both this season. Also shirtless Lincoln and Bellamy, fighting each other, is welcome any time.
- Bellamy's girlfriend giving him the Iliad as a gift.
- The metal crane Finn made hanging from the truck rearview mirror.
- I liked Kane offering Indra a gun.
+ I loved Team Bellamy (well minus Jasper). That whole sequence was so great. That said seeing Bellamy and the others as this cohesive, bonded and loyal team is making me sad Clarke's not there. It feels wrong for her not to be a part of them! If you replaced Jasper with Clarke, stuck Lincoln on a horse outside with Octavia, and added Monroe and Harper in the back, it would have been perfect.
+ I liked the Abby and Raven scenes.
+ I can understand how Jasper losing it makes sense and that, frankly, most of the kids shouldn't be keeping it together as well as they have. So much sucky stuff has happened to them in a very short amount of time. If I liked Jasper more I would probably be at least a little sympathetic about his complete breakdown. And yet I'm just really over it and him. I wanted someone to smack him basically every second he was on screen. I kept shaking my head at everyone accepting his bad behaviour and enabling his downward slide.
+ Octavia meanwhile is also being kind of a brat and yet I feel a lot more sympathy for her position. She spent her entire life locked in one small room, most of that in a small cubby and was raised to fear the guard uniform. The Ark was never her home. On Earth she found freedom and life. So why should she be loyal to the Skaikru now? Why should she trust them? That said I'm still sad about the current tensions between her and Lincoln, and her and Bellamy.
+ I'm so glad that Murphy basically told Jaha to fuck off. I hope he doesn't end up falling for whatever crazy ass scheme he and ALIE are up to.
+ I wonder if the bracelet monitor that Niylah was wearing is a symbol for Grounders now, like wearing something of Skaikru shows you're someone who allies yourself with them? Or just with Wanheda?
