A few thoughts on some stuff I watched this week:

Lucifer 3x04

+ New theory on Marcus – he’s an angel. Based on the way he’s so supportive and encouraging of Lucifer and the way he told Chloe that she was special and that he saw what Lucifer saw in her I came away from this episode with the strong sense that Marcus knows the truth. That he knows Lucifer. Hence – another brother angel, or some other heavenly creature. Not sure why Lucifer wouldn’t have recognised him but I don’t think he’s a normal guy.

Supergirl 3x03

+ Oscar's excuse for why he so cruelly abandoned Maggie - that he couldn't stand to see her take the difficult path and suffer for it - was such amazing bullshit. I don't care about his hardships in the past. Hell, going through that should have made him more determined to help and love her! He's a homophobic asshole who couldn't get over his over prejudices to give his beloved daughter the support and love she needed.

+ I didn't like that Kara gave the Staff of Kolar to Till'all. Considering the significance of the staff and the relations between the two Martian races Kara had no place in giving it over to Till'all. That moment would have had far more meaning and worked better if Kara had given the staff back to it's rightful keeper - M'yrnn. Then for M'yrnn to give it to a white Martian - preferably M'gann because she appeared to be the rebel leader, wth Kara - would have been far more momentous. I did like that it was Till'all who gave up the staff to J'onn, that felt appropriate.

+ Oscar's line about 'them building a wall to keep us out' made no sense. Cat's press secretary jabs at real life worked and were funny. This line doesn't though because there is no way I can see their alien refuge president even contemplating that dumb wall idea.

The Good Place 2x07

+ I love both Michael and Janet individually and while I’ve always enjoyed their interaction I’ve never really thought much about their relationship? And then this episode came along and hit me right in the heart. I love them so much now! I really loved Michael's confession that Janet was his closest friend.

+ I continue to love Janet more and more with every episode. The actress is amazing.

+ I actually really liked the this was Janet and Michael’s episode and all the other characters only showed up for one scene each. It worked pretty well.

+ Jason was in one scene but had two great lines. Upon Michael asking if he's sleeping with Tahani he responds with "Only when we're done having sex." (hee) and then his 'we've been robbed' reaction.

+ The Bad Janet's literal melt down at having to be nice was amusing.

Project Runway 16x11

+ I call bullshit on Brandon’s win this episode. I really liked his look and agree with his placement in the top three but that was not the winning look and their love-fest for him is getting to be really irritating even though I like him!

+ Meanwhile Kenya was robbed because her look was beautiful. Liris looked sexy and it showed off her body perfectly. She looked really powerful. The shoulder petals worked surprisingly well. The detail she worked into the fabric was amazing. Her dress was amazing and the judges thought so too.

+ Honestly even Ayana’s look - which was interesting, well-made and fabulous - should have beat out Brandon’s. WTH, judges?

+ Also I think Kentaro’s look was worse than Margarite’s. Hers may have verged on costumey but it was far more interesting than Kentaro’s black blob of colour. His wasn’t editorial at all.

The judges picks this episode were terrible.
