3x24 'A Devil of My Word'
Well, at least the series ended on a strong note after a very uneven last season. I liked this episode a lot.
+ I am so, so happy that Maze and Linda made up before the series ended. I loved Maze's laser focus on getting to Linda and protecting her, and the way she made sure Linda was okay before collapsing. Her little smile when she realised that Linda was safe. The way that Linda cared for her. I love that they apologised to each other, even though Linda said the words weren't necessary. The sincere and loving hug. Over everything I love that I was left feeling like they truly did forgive each other and that their relationship will only be stronger after this.
+ The final sequences with Pierce confronting Lucifer and Chloe was so great. I loved Lucifer protecting them from the hail of bullets with his wings and then subsequently returning to kick ass.
+ Chloe finally accepting the truth about Lucifer was great and I liked that it was implied that she's known for awhile but has been actively refusing to believe it.
+ The question I'm most wondering about is if Chloe remembers Lucifer's wings? I feel like that's going to put a different spin on him than just his devil face.
+ I'm glad that Dan and his grief was treated with respect and that he wasn't made the butt of anything - no jokes, no incompetence. This was probably the best Dan episode in... maybe ever.
+ I wish we'd gotten a Chloe/Dan scene with her actually comforting and talking to him about Charlotte and his feelings. They were married, they are friends and I really missed seeing that.
+ The Ella/Lucifer scene was lovely. I'm sad I'm never going to see her reaction to learning the truth.
+ I liked how both Chloe and Pierce immediately figured out the truth because they knew each other and thus knew when the other was putting on an act. I wish the show had done a better job building their relationship.
3x25 'Boo Normal'
Fun episode.
+ I loved Ella's confession to Chloe about Rae Rae. She was so scared and Chloe handled it so perfectly. Because they're good friends and Chloe loves her and it was just a really beautiful scene.
+ I'm glad to know Ella's secret but I'm a little bit disappointed that it wasn't something a little - more. Like she could really see ghosts, or something similar.
+ I love that Azrael set Ella to Los Angeles because she wanted two of her favourite people to be friends, and because she thought they could help each other. Though I notice that she waited until a year into Lucifer's partnership with Chloe and the changes that brought to him. I love her protectiveness of Ella.
+ I thought the reveal all the way until the end was going to be that Ella did die in that car accident and Rae Rae chose to save her by connecting her life to Rae Rae's, uh, life force.
3x26 'Once Upon a Time'
+ Lucifer and Chloe were a lot of fun together.
+ I liked that Chloe and Linda were genuine friends in this verse.
+ I liked that Ella was inspired by actor Chloe into the life of crime.
+ It was sweet that Charlotte and Dan ended up together even knowing their eventual fate. After all there is still time for them to get into heaven.
+ It was really nice to see Amenadiel one last time.
