1x06 'Take Me to the Hole!

Meh.

+ Eve/Nico is just... sigh. I'm confused about where the show is going with them. Nico freaking out about an assassin being in their house, and that she killed yet another of Eve's co-workers, makes sense. That's the normal person reaction! But his shift towards verbal viciousness felt off. Where did that come from? Eve was back to playing nice but when he turned on her she reacted with physical violence which was so out of line and unacceptable. They are such a mess but unfortunately not one I'm enjoying watching.

+ Carolyn not prepping Eve on what to do/say beforehand is weird for someone who is supposed to be an amazing spy. I wonder if she told Eve the whole Konstantin/Vladimir tale knowing what Eve would do? I hope so.

+ I did enjoy Carolyn and her "boyfriends" and the undercurrent in all their scenes.

+ Poor Nadia. I felt really bad for her.

1x07 'I Don't Want to Be Free'

+ I loved Eve being so jealous of Anna Kenny even called her on it. This episode was great for the return of Eve's obsession with Villanelle - her sniffing the coat, the fact that she recognised Oksana based just on her walk, her honestly kind of ludicrous theory that Oksana was in the jail, the fact that she couldn't help herself and had to ask if Anna had slept with Oksana. It was great.

+ The twist at the end really makes it look like Carolyn is one of the bad guys but I'm not sold. It doesn't make sense to me that she would create her little taskforce if she was one of the 12.

+ The one I do think is part of the 12 is Vladimir. Eve tells him that Konstantin was Carolyn's source and immediately after Villanelle is broken out of prison and tasked with killing him? Suspicious.

+ I loved the whole sequence where Villanelle was freed from the bus. From her delight at the carnage to her exchange with the other inmate it was excellent.

+ The Villanelle/Konstantin scene was great too. He played that so well. I'm not sure if she actually believed him or if she simply wanted to but he got to her.

+ I liked Anton for the five minutes he was on screen but giving Villanelle a loaded gun was just too arrogant and dumb.

+ I really hope Eve did more than only try and call Nico to warn him, especially considering his message.

1x08 'God, I'm Tired'

I really enjoyed this. Can't wait till season 2.

+ The final scene was so good. I love that Eve trashed everything, that she pulled a gun on Oksana before giving up and being completely emotionally truthful instead, and then just them talking to each other. But the moment I loved best was that instead of sex Eve stabbed Oksana, almost on a dare, and felt powerful/righteous about it for a moment before quickly regretted it. Perfect.

+ The only thing that could have made it better was if we'd gotten Eve trying on Villanelle's clothes.

+ I love so much that Eve left a "sorry baby" note in the coat. Love, love. I didn't even consider that she'd do something like that but it's perfect. I adored that very quick little smile Villanelle got upon reading it.

+ I've been mostly neutral about Konstantin up till this point but I loved him in this episode. "Shake my wrist", lol. His interactions with both Eve and Oksana were great. The restaurant confrontation was wonderful and intense. I think his obvious love for his daughter also did a lot to make me like him. We didn't actually see him die and that shot wasn't an obvious kill shot so until we see a body I'm going to assume he's alive and will pop up in season 2.

+ Irina is a delight. I loved Konstantin's very affectionate description of her - "she's amazing but so annoying" and that it's 100% true. I also ended up feeling very affectionate about her and her annoying the crap out of Oksana amused me. I love that Oksana ended up liking her in the end too.

+ "What do you want? Honestly. Don't be a dick." - Eve. LOL.

+ Eve calling Villanelle "my girlfriend", heh.

+ Villanelle sitting down when Eve told her to made me think of her reaction when Anton did the same. Maybe Eve should be her handler. At this point it really does feel like the show is going down the Hannibal route of the cop/"good guy" being corrupted, except Eve already has a lot of darkness in her. I think Villanelle being an unrepent killing is absolutely a large part of her charm for Eve. I'm excited to see where this goes for Eve as a character.
