Haven 2x09 Thoughts

I didn't really like this episode. There were definitely parts of it I did but overall it leaves me feeling very meh.
Disliked
• I hated what happened with Evie. Evie was given terrible motivations – she had no idea what was going on but was just doing what some people told her to because they said it would help Duke... seriously? That is so stupid. Then she was given a terrible death – walking out and demanding answers... what the hell was that supposed to accomplish? Did she imagine the guys with guns were anything more than pawns/hired hands? Did she think the leaders behind everything would be there? Why the hell would she think that they would answer her? She wasn’t a threat to them. It was yet more stupid. I had hopes after the reveal that she was working for the Reverend that they would go somewhere interesting with her and now I’m just really disappointed in the Haven PTB.
• There were basically no scenes between Audrey and Duke which sucked. Especially since we didn’t even get one between Audrey and Duke after Evie’s death. She would have gone to him.
• Chris was an idiot. Getting the gun was so beyond stupid that it didn’t feel in-character but rather as if the writers needed the gun in play and chose to make Chris an idiot to do it.
Liked
• I liked that Duke went straight to Nathan with the information about Evie. I wish Audrey had been there.
• I really liked Nathan stopping Duke from killing himself. I loved Audrey’s “Duke!” “Nathan!” after they hit each other.
• I continue to like Dwight a lot and his interactions with Nathan were great.
• I loved that when Merrill asked how long Evie had been sick Duke interrupted to say “Excuse me, she’s standing right here”. Thank you!
• I loved Audrey putting away a gun in evidence just in case. So smart.
• The Audrey/Chris breakup worked pretty well.
• Duke’s look at the end he's totally going to pretending to join the Reverend in order to learn the truth and get revenge, isn't he? I love that. I really want him, Audrey and Nathan working together to uncover the conspiracy.
