This was great.
- I love the idea of the paint bird hatching and coming alive and her making a wall painting for it to live in.
- The reveal that the other side of the painting was a real world was great. A part of me definitely thought she was going to go through the wall too.
- The full grown version of the bird is really pretty and adorable.
- I didn’t get at first that she’d lost her pregnancy, not till she wiped the paint off the unfinished cradle, which definitely makes the whole thing very bittersweet. As a short story about grief and letting it go I found it very effective and ultimately hopeful.
- Great music choice and I like that there was no dialogue.

Great little flick.
- It made me cry of course. I was feeling sad for the little stray kitty (who was really cute) and then it hit me with the poor abused pitbull. :( And he was so hopeful and happy when he arrived – and then the kitten refused to play with him and his owner chained him up and ignored him and then hurt him and locked him out and it was super sad. Poor baby. Poor babies.
- I loved the kitten going to the pitbull and saving him and the two of them finding freedom and happiness together on the streets before getting two new, loving, human owners and the happy ending the deserved.
