People who say they are "not a cat person" don't understand how loyal they can truly be. Take Barney, this orange cat who has basically decided that his human mom's baby is actually his baby…

Turns out this baby is lucky enough to have human parents AND a feline one. Though the cat tends to never leave his side ever, it became even more evident that Barney is completely dedicated to this baby when the baby got a little cold. The mother was trying to give her baby medicine in his nose, but Barney was not happy about it. The more the baby cried, the more the cat meowed with worry at his human mom.

The mom, just trying to do her motherly duty, kept trying to move Barney out of the way so she could give her child this medicine. But the cat kept coming back. Finally, when she was done, she propped her baby up to sitting and Barney took that as his chance to get into the lap of his human child and meow at his mother in disapproval. How dare she give him medicine that will make him feel better in the long run because he's crying right now!

Though that sounds slightly frustrating for the mama, in the end, she was happy to see how in love her cat is with her own child. A beautiful family/fur family!

Petting a cat is the quickest way to crack a smile.

When you see a cute cat on the street, who do you think of first? For most cat lovers, they see a sassy feline stray wandering around outside and their first instinct is to psspsspss their way into that kitty's heart. Secondly, of course, they must take a photo of this handsome kitten, because no creature so adorable should be left unphotographed. And thirdly, that adorable cat portrait must be sent to another human with a mewtual love for felines. Alas, who's your go-to person for cute cat content sharing?

For most of us, it's a close family member, our best friend, or our significant other who is the main recipient of shared kitten appreciation, however, not everyone loves cats.

Shocking, I know. But for us passionate feline fanatics, it's impawrtant to identify the people in our lives who share the same affection for felines. Without those cherished relationships, our adoration and appreciation for cats go unrecognized and unmatched. It's through a mutual love for cats that humans can feel the closest to our comrades and our companions in the world. Even if we're sharing a meowment with a random coworker or showing a silly cat video to our little niece, the sunshine that radiates from cats and the smiles that they bring into our lives are irreplaceable.

It's for this reason that we must treasure the kitty pawsitivity that comes from shared cat love in the family, the friends group, or even your local community. Our fine felines at home, who live like royalty off of tin cans of kitty slop and pre-warmed beds by the window sill, are the light in every cat lover's life. Although they contribute next to nothing to the family's bills, rent, groceries, or employment (little freeloaders!), cats are the glowing, glitter glue that binds together the broken pieces of the world and brings us all together.

Whether you're chuckling at a 20-year-old video of a striped cat playing the piano, scrolling through cat memes in the bathroom, or taking pictures of friendly stray cats on the snowy street, cats always find a way to bring joy into our human lives

Every workday should begin with a whole lot of cat memes.

This is a rule that we stand by. Another workday is about to begin, and that means that we simply have to paws for a moment and laugh at some funny cat memes. It's necessary for us. It has become a part of our routine. We're on our phones first thing when we wake up anyway, so we might as well use them for something useful, something that will actually be good for our souls. Waking up to a bunch of silly cat memes is the solution to the pain that we feel when we are about to start another workday. It is the best thing that we can do for ourselves in the morning.

And since we are putting together these collections of purrfect cat memes for ourselves and our own well-being anyway, we figure that we might as well share them with all of you guys as well. We are sure that you could use these memes just as much as us. And we, here at ICHC, aim to please all the exhausted cat people who come our way in need of an itty bitty pick-me-up in the form of cat purrfection.

Finding your cat after losing them has to be the most cathartic feeling in the world.

You're so worried, as a cat owner, when your cat goes missing. Because you know just how dependent they are on you. You feed them, you give them water, you clean up after them and love on them. They may act as if they are independent, but one look at them is enough for us to know that they would not survive one day without us. And the thought of them alone, in the big wide world, without us to tend to each and every one of their needs, is terrifying.

The last thing you want is for your cat to go missing, but if you are one of the lucky ones who gets to reunite with your cat, then you become the happiest person in the world. And for the person in this story, that feeling must have been even better, because this kitty was not lost in the big wide world. The kitty was lost in a giant 100-year-old mansion, surrounded by family, and stealing the other cat's food in the middle of the night. Went on an adventure, this little one, and then came right back home.

Cozying up next to some cattos makes the winter weather worth it.

Hello, kitty cat lovers of the world. How has your winter been treating you so far? Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow, which means we have six more weeks of whatever this Ice Age-type weather is. I can't even pull my hands out of my pockets for long before losing all feeling in my fingers… Needless to say, I'm excited for the spring weather to welcome us back warmly.

Until then, though, we must find ways to spend our time wisely. By wisely, I mean cozily, and with our cats. We all need a little pawk-me-up since the sun is still setting before 5:30 pm. I mean, c'mon! Our cats can only be as cute as can be and sploot around our houses for so long before they get bored and we get bored, too. I think we're all just itching to hear the birds chirping and the squirrels jumping around in the trees. I know I am.

If you're waiting for the weather to warm up just like we are, I recommend a healthy dose of hissterical meowing cat memes to keep your heart warm through the last leg of winter. Scroll below!

When the scary neighborhood bobcat turns out to be an adorable and innocent chonker.

A couple living in a trailer park sees something that they mistake for a bobcat. They see it only once, and not again for some time. Then the husband goes away on a trip to Canada, where he grew up. The woman sees the "bobcat" again. But then she sees it more clearly, and she hears meowing. Suddenly, she realizes it's not a bobcat at all – it's just a normal cat! She sees the cat is skittish, and she's also scared of the cat herself. But the two slowly make their way to each other. She starts putting food out, and over time the cat becomes more and more comfortable with her. She ends up adopting the little thing and naming her Creature, which is just adorable.

Every neighborhood has its thing it's on watch for. Some have the neighborhood racoon who meddles in trash cans and tries to break into homes. Some have a strange and eerie possum who hangs around staring at you through your kitchen window. And some have the neighborhood bobcat, who everyone fears. No one can take their kitty outside, and taking their dog on a walk becomes a worry. But what if all that fear surrounding something was really just in your head? There's something especially magical about the moment you realize the fierce, mysterious "bobcat" you've been fearing from afar is actually just a very fluffy domestic cat who wandered into your life by accident. The initial awe and wonder transforms into a real and actual fascination with a domestic cat.

Mistaking a cat for a bobcat says a lot about the cat themselves. They carry an air of wildness so convincingly that they come off as a predator. Their size, their color, and their energy all affect how they're seen. They must come off as confident, or else no one would mistake them for a wild animal. In the story below, the couple end up adopting a cat, but only after thinking its a bobcat. If this kind of thing has ever happened to you, comment below.

When you're on the verge of quitting your job and abandoning all hope from the length of this work week, just remember that there are plenty of hissterical midweek cat tweets to help you temporarily furget that it's only Wednesday.

The urge to throw away our meowdern lives and go live as a hermit in the woods with our cats gets stronger and stronger the closer we get to Wednesday. Who needs daily morning meetings and endless email chains when you could be cultivating your own catnip, surrounded by cats and friendly forest creatures in purrfect quiet? No more phones, no more "circling back" to things, just our fluffy felines, our garden, and our many crochet projects. Sounds nice, right?

Well, the problem is that we're not built to survive in nature. We have about as many survival skills as an almond, and so do our cats. That's why we're resorting to our classic go-to solution for when we need rescuing from a midweek meltdown: hissterical cat tweets. They fill us with enough joy and whiskery whimsy that we can make it through Wednesday without leaving and never looking back. They're like our hooman version of catnip: they make us slightly loopy, a tiny bit delusional, and furgetful of all the bad things in life.

We won't judge you if you decide to go full hermit-style, but maybe take a scroll through these funny feline posts before closing your bank account and cutting all ties with your friends and family. You wouldn't be able to see hilarious posts like this in the forest, so take that into account as well!

In divorce settlements, cats should choose who they go home with.

Adopting a cat together could be an amazing experience with the right person. Cats are like babies, essentially. It's a little living being to take care of together, a way to simulate what building a family together would look like, someone to make decisions for together, to love together… We've been there, we've done that, it's amazing. But with the wrong person… it'll just lead to problems.

What do you do if you adopt a cat with someone and then end up breaking up with them? Even if it's not a divorce, even if you're just dating or in a relationship, it would be hard. You cannot separate the cat. You can't have a custody agreement over the cat, moving it from one house to another multiple times a month. And at the end of the day, cats are not babies. Babies, you need to make decisions for becauase they cannot make decisions for themsleves. They can't choose who they want to go home with after a divorce. Cats can. As much as they might not want to make a choice, if they have to, they will. The cat in today's story sure did.

Hi all!

I'm doing some minor operational work tonight. It should be transparent, but there's always a chance that something goes wrong. The main thing I'm touching is testing a replacement for Apache2 (our web server software) in one area of the site.

Thank you!

Step out of the shade and into the sunshine, for feline funnies are right around the corner.

Cat enthusiasts, we've struck gold. We can expect six more weeks of winter thanks to good ol' Punxsutawney Phil, which means we can stay inside our cozy homes, guilt-free, with our favorite furry felines until further notice. Though we're all probably super sick of the brutal cold, there's something comforting about being able to slack off inside and watch reruns of our favorite television shows. We get to observe the slow life outside our windows and watch the stillness of the squirrels sleeping at the base of tree trunks, paired with a crew of birds flying high above the tallest branches of the tree on your street. Aren't we lucky to behold nature in all of its glory?

Our cats are pretty excited about the prospect of us staying inside with them, because that means they can meow until we finally cave and feed them a little extra food before their actual dinner time. I can't blame them; they don't know how to open a refrigerator as humans do. So, in our cozy chill seshes while we wait out the winter weather, we must include our feline fellas in everything we do. Why? Well, once summer hits, we'll be out and about, picnicking and doing whatever else hoomans do when the sun shines (forreal). Scroll below to get a heartwarming taste of what's to come this spring.

A tiny gray cat ran across the road and straight into a different life.

A gray blur darting across the road during a snowstorm caught someone's attention while they were heading home to prep for the weather. In a rural area where animals get dumped far too often, it didn't feel right to just keep driving. They stopped and found a small, nervous cat near a church, trying to stay out of the wind. By luck there was fresh cat food in the car, so a bowl went down and they stayed a few minutes talking to him. He kept his distance, but he didn't run off.

That moment turned into a daily check-in. For the next week, the hooman visited with food. The cat was still timid, hovering nearby instead of approaching, but he came back every time. Each visit shaved a little off his fear. He started lingering instead of disappearing, watching instead of hiding. Nothing was rushed. It was just routine and patience doing their job.

After a week of this quiet back-and-forth, something shifted. He finally allowed himself to be picked up without a fight, like he'd decided the experiment was safe enough to continue indoors. He came home last night by choice, not force.

Now, Charlee is warm and safe instead of being a gray flash in a storm. It was a rescue built on consistency and sometimes that's all it takes for a scared cat to decide he's ready.

If you ever come across a meowing purse, bag, or box anywhere, it may be a good idea to take a peak inside. You might just find your cat soulmate.

Finding a cat in your life is always a special gift. It's really not everyday that you stumble upon a kitten or cat who's looking for a warm home, especially in this winter weather. In the story here, some people see a large purse-like bag alone in a park, and what do they see inside? Of all the things that could be in the bag, they find a cat inside! This adorable tuxedo is scared and cold, being that it's winter and 15 degrees outside. Who would do such a thing?

Wondering who would be so cruel as to leave a cat in a bag isn't worth your time, but reading about the good-hearted people who saved her is. They already had a black cat that they got on Halloween, named Beetlejuice. It just so happens that the two cats get along swimmingly.

What makes tuxedo cats so special is not only their good looks. They're celebrated for being especially clever, charismatic, and spirited. They're known for being playful, quick to learn, and unusually expressive. Some studies even suggest that tuxedo kittens open their eyes earlier than their peers! So open your eyes and look no further than the wholesome and adorable rescue story where the CDS brought a nice couple an adorable second kitty, dolled up in a purse no less.

Diagnosis doctor?

He has a bad case of…the giggles due to cat memes.

We all need a dose of fun in our lives. What's the point of it all if we're not going to laugh? Pawsitivity is something that carries us throughout everything we do. It's a mood, a mindset. Without a dash of positivity, then everything will feel like the weight of the world. When you're in a positive state of mind, then a scraped knee, a papercut, or bad news can turn itself into something meaningful, beautiful, or opportunistic.

Health is something important to maintain as well. Without our physical, mental, and emotional health, it can be extra difficult to be in a positive mood. Health is so tied to our emotions, and keeping a healthy heart is something that can sometimes go beyond our notions of what healthy means. When we're tethered to people who make us miserable, then it's going to affect our health in some way, whether we like it or not. Being heart healthy doesn't just apply to love – it's a combination of how we treat ourselves in our diet, exercise, lifestyle habits, and sleep. To keep a healthy heart, it's important to consume foods rich in fiber, vitamins, and minerals, such as fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, and legumes. Limiting sodium, added sugars, and saturated fats can help immensely.

When it comes to physical activity, it's important to move around. Walking, running, or even cleaning the house can all amount to significant changes in your health, if that's what you're looking for. And for sleep? Well, sometimes it feels like we live in the age of sleeplessness. It's never been easier to be sleepy, but simultaneously stay up late consistently while being in the comfort of our own bed. Scrolling has an addictive, dopamine system in our brains, which means we can binge scroll, but still be exhausted and on the verge of collapse.

Cat memes are a part of that system of dopamine hitting, obsession starting habits that just make us smile and stay up all night. It's important to take everything with a grain of salt, and to understand that even if cat memes give you a healthy mindset, a dose of pawsitivity, and a sense of purpose, to still try and get your 8 hours of sleep.

And if your cat had a job, what would it be?

It's an age-old question that most cat pawrents ask themselves. But just like people, cats are individuals with a special set of skills, with different characters, and a variety of pawfessional aspirations. So each cat would have had a different kind of job. When asked, the online feline family responded with the best, cutest, and funniest ways.

We can tell you with a high level of cat confidence about our cats and what professions they have. First, we have Booker, the master chonker cat who loves his cat bad more than anything in the world. He would be a mattress salesman, because he's both an expert on anything that has to do with comfortable sleeping, and he's absolutely adorable. No one would say "no" to him. Maybe this is why he gained all those extra pounds in the first place… Nevermind that, because there's also Darcy. She's our resident calico queen, made of zoomies and fairy dust. She would probably be the best cat barista. She's already acting as if she runs on caffeine, but she's also the nicest and most cordial cat we've ever known. She'd be a great service to a cute coffee place as a purrista.

When a cat gently paws at us, we could cry with happiness.

It's the most gentle touch, the most precious ask for pets, the best kind of attention-grabbing method. When a cat gently paws at us, we will never ignore the gesture. When a cat is being this cute, it's hard to focus on anything else. Cats can be cute in a lot of ways, but when they use the one and only elusive toe bean touch - it's even cuter. Like the cherry on top of the already-yummy whipped cream.

This morning started in the most pawdorable way we could imagine. Our cats all lined up on the bed and started a purring orchestra while pawing at us. It was probably the most wholesome alarm clock we will ever experience in our lifetime. So there was just one thing on our mind for today - cat toe beans. And this level of cuteness couldn't stay in our minds alone. We have to share. Sharing is caring, right? And we believe a healthy amount of precious paws a day keeps the bad vibes away. So the only solution is cat memes, of course. But not just any - a bountiful bean harvest of cute cats and hissterical humor.

In Harry Potter, the wand chooses the wizard. There may not be wands and wizards in real life, but there are cats and the hoomans they choose fur life. There may not be a Hogwarts, but this process is still just as meowgical.

You're never too old to get a new pet. When our grandfather was all alone, we convinced him to adopt a kitten, and he was suddenly reinvigorated with a newfound sense of life. For sure, it's a lot of work, but it brings a youthful, playful energy back into our lives that somehow makes us feel younger again. We're not saying that the elderly should go out and adopt four golden retriever puppies, but a kitten or one puppy might just give them something to want to live for when it's easy to give up.

That's exactly what happened thanks to this lion-hearted kitten who was found at a gas station. A senior citizen was there getting gas, who encountered this bold kitty who meowed, smiled, and wormed her way into his heart in a few seconds. But that's how kittens work - they're so cute that you can't resist them. He picked her up and took her home, naming her 'Sox' after her four white paws.

It doesn't take a rocket scientist to understand what the "right thing" is to do in this situation. Leaving a kitten all alone at a gas station on a cold, winter night? Or take the kitten home and warm up your heart and home? Obviously, he made the right choice, and we think they're both better for it.

It's time for vets to start winning cats over - by whatever means necessary.

Cats and vets… there's a love-hate relationship there that we don't talk about very often. The vets love the cats, and the cats hate the vets. It's unfortunate for everyone involved. Everyone wants to be loved by cats, especially vets, who love animals so much. But the cats don't get it. To them, going to the vet is a terrible experience - being pulled out of their homes, poked and prodded by some stranger. They don't get it. Cats hide at the vet's. Cats fight with the vets. Cats are expensive at the vets. Really, it's a bad experience for everyone involved.

So, we think that it is officially time for vets to start putting in the effort to win over cats. And since cats don't like coming there, maybe the winning over has to happen virtually. Maybe, instead of addressing the cat's humans in emails and letters, as if the cat is not even there and not able to take care of itself, it is time for the vets to start addressing the cats. Cats are individuals at the end of the end of the day, and they like being treated with the respect that they deserve.

People who "don't want cats" eventually always get won over by some tiny, adorable kitten.

That's essentially a rule at this point. We've seen it endless times. Dads who "hate cats" falling in love with some itty bitty thing that their kids or wives adopted. Moms who "never wanted a cat" now cradling and babying their kitties the same way that they did with their kiddos. Boyfriends who didn't get along with their girlfriend's cats doing everything in their power to win the cats over (and winning their girlfriends over even more at the same time). Cats simply have this power over people. You can never say no to an itty bitty kitty that wants your love.

That's how people who don't want cats end up with them anyway. Because once you are chosen by a cat, resisting becomes futile. Of course, the husband in this story was not the first one chosen. The wife was. She found the kitty, rescued it, and was instantly ready to adopt it. But the husband said that they already had enough cats, that they didn't need any more of them. And then he met the kitten. After that, it was only a matter of time…

Sometimes, cats and dogs can be best of friends.

We know that most people don't believe that. It's a commonly held understanding that cats and dogs don't get along. But in reality, it depends on the cat and the dog and the relationship that they have. Sometimes, they really are complete opposites that don't want anything to do with one another. Other times, cats and dogs are best friends. Maybe they grow up together, learning each other's differences and how to bridge them. Maybe the cat and dog just choose each other, and they disregard the differences that they have, loving each other despite them.

The differences between them are quite real, we're not saying that they are not. But the same way that humans can put our differences aside and get along despite them, animals can do the same. Cats may be picky about who they love, but once they choose you, they are incredibly patient with you. And dogs… well, dogs are quite persistent when they want someone to love them. The differences don't matter when you want to be friends with someone enough.

And the kitty and doggo in today's video definitely chose each other. The dog here was a weary one. He got attacked by a kitty when he was younger and ended up not wanting anything to do with them anymore. But this one kitty… won him over. The dog found the kitten in the backyard, alerted his owners, and made sure that they brought the kitten in. After that, it was simply a matter of convincing them to keep the kitten. And really, it didn't take all that much.

The doggo could have waited for his owners to fall in love with the kitten on their own, and we're sure that would have worked as well, but he didn't wait. All the doggo did was win the kitten over. He became best friends with her, and his owners, looking at their friendship, could not bear to separate them from one another. They were too close, too loving. They chose each other, without the human's purrmission. And family members cannoy simple be thrown out. The only solution was adopting the kitten, and that is what the humans did. After that, the relationship between the kitty, doggo and the humans only continued to blossom.
