White Collar 2x01 'Withdrawal'

Yay, I’m so glad the show is back.

- If they make Diana a bad guy I am going to be pissed. She is awesome and I love her relationship with Peter and her loyalty to him and her competence – and they better not have brought her back to turn around and make her a bad guy is all I’m saying.

- There wasn’t near enough Elizabeth in the episode, and boo to no Elizabeth/Neal interactions. Where the heck was she while they were brainstorming at the Burke’s house?

- The green-screen during the Peter/El lunch was so obvious and bad that I could barely pay attention to what they were saying.

- I love that Peter and Mozzie are secretly working together to watch after Neal.

- I knew that Tiffani was pregnant but apparently she didn’t give birth until June and they started shooting the second season on April 9. Yikes. That means probably a lot more green-screen El and very little of that. Tzikeh did post this: Jeff Eastin said that there are going to be a lot of "out-of-town catering events" in the first half, but that Elizabeth will figure quite prominently in the second half of the season. which does make me feel better. Also Tzikeh has a theory about Diana having the box that I like much better than her being a bad guy – Diana took the box on Peter’s orders and they’re working off the books to discover what’s going on. (Although... where would they get the box?)

True Blood 3x03 ‘It Hurts Me Too’

Overall it was mainly meh.

• I was happy with how things played out in the beginning. I liked that Sookie ended up shooting Eric because he jumped in the way of the bullet instead of her missing and hitting him accidentally. I like that she was portrayed as competent both with that and then how she shot the werewolf in the leg when he tried to escape.

• As always all the Sookie/Eric interactions were great. I liked Sookie getting reassurance that Eric would hear her if she was in trouble, and obliquely that he would come to her rescue. Eric giving Sookie tips on dealing with dead bodies really amused me. Now I really want Sookie to help Jessica deal with a dead body in a future episode. (And Jessica would be all staring in shock and then wailing ‘how do you know these things!’)

• I liked Sookie asking Sam to look after Jessica while she was away. I loved that Sookie paid for Eggs funeral. I love that she has been thinking about Tara after all. That whole scene between them made me really happy. Like how they basically made up without having to talk and how Tara walked up to her and they just held each other. I loved Sookie asking Tara to ‘come back home’.

• I loved Tara telling Franklin off even if it didn’t end up actually working. Wouldn’t Tara know about vampire compulsion though?

• Sookie’s clueless wondering if she wasn’t dressed right when they got in the bar was a bit much. Clearly she wasn’t dressed right and I could have told her that before they even got to the bar. It was stupid and unnecessary.

• Bud’s “Every time we clear one murder two more spring up. It’s like grab grass.” Heee.

• The Lafayette/Eric scene was good too.

• The final scene was disgusting and not entirely in an ‘ew’ way.

• I can kind of understand Arlene’s lie but Terry is the kind of guy that would have happily raised the child as his own.
