White Collar 2x02 Thoughts

• I am so thankful that Diana isn’t a bad guy. I love that it was really a plan between Peter and Diana. We’ve been shown over and over since the pilot that Diana and Peter trust each other implicitly and she is completely loyal to him (to the extent that she would risk her job and would move cities) so it would have been really hard for me to buy that she’d betray him.
• I love how Diana is close enough to the Burke’s that she knows El and Satchmo. I just wish we could see them interact more.
• Knowing why El isn’t on more (Tiffani’s pregnancy) does actually make her lessened presence easier to take. I though her scene with Peter felt off though. El should have had a far more teasing tone when she was asking about the background noise instead of how serious she was. Elizabeth has previously shown that she trusts Peter and isn’t easily jealous.
• I also had a problem at the end with Peter thinking for a second that Diane would actually tell Neal the truth about what they’re doing without running it by Peter first.
• Diana was awesome this episode. I liked her casual no fuss ‘okay’ at playing a hooker, her plan if Neal hadn’t shown up (“That is really sexy.”) and her taking out the guy at the end by herself (her and Peter’s “Aw, you were worried.” / ‘yeah about him’ exchange was great).
• I loved the Diana/Neal and Peter/Mozzie interactions and I hope there are more of both.
• Peter/Neal were great as usual. I loved Neal’s “I’ve never lied to you.” and Peter actually trying to explain himself to Neal when caught in the lie and also: “You’ll sit there and like it.” Heh.
