I liked it.

+ I didn't see Shaw’s death coming at all. I'd heard that there was a death in the premiere but he didn't even cross my mind as an option. Now I'm really curious about why they chose to kill him off - actor availability? they just want Raven to always suffer? Personally, while on paper he was great, I never got emotionally attached to him so his death didn't affect me much except for feeling really sad for Raven. Give the girl a break, show!

+ I'd only heard of one death but when Kane stopped breathing I was sure he was being killed off too. He was the one I was sure was going to die, and I was rather disgruntled about it because of the cryopods, and then Abby did exactly what I wanted and stuck him back in cryo. Yess!

+ I loved that shot of Abby, with blood around her lips, as she says “the hell it is”.

+ I'm already over the Clarke related grudge-holding and bitchiness. Mistakes were made but not all of them were on her end. I was really annoyed by Shaw's "You haven't done anything yet." People have reason to be mad at her but at the same time it still feels like the common retread of "everyone blames Clarke" game.

+ Love the little Clarke/Abby moments and the support they showed each other. They both did things they weren't proud of last season and have some demons to confront but at the same time their relationship is as strong as it's ever been and as a mother Clarke now understands Abby a lot better.

+ I loved the little bits from Clarke re: Monty: her telling everyone at the beginning that he saved them, her little nod of agreement when Echo said she trusted Monty, her "Thank you Monty" after they first stepped onto the new planet.

+ Clarke and Bellamy's school room scene was great. I liked them bonding over their kids (more of that please) and then finally we get them talking about Clarke's radio calls. I loved him teasing her about it and them laughing together. I love the way he looks at her and the second of panic on her face when she realises he knows. I loved her telling him that calling him kept her sane and the call back to their fireside talk last season. She wasn't alone just because of Madi, she had Bellamy too in a way. I love it.

On the negative side it also left me wanting more. The scene was so brief, not serious enough for the weight of it and I desperately wanted that more serious version of the talk. I suppose Clarke leaving so quickly could be attributed to her not wanting to go into it more. Whatever her feelings are for Bellamy she sees that he and Echo are happy together, so her deciding that she doesn't want to talk further about her feelings makes sense. I still hope this comes up again.

Other things I liked were him waiting for her when they left the ship, them stepping onto the new earth together, him reassuring her that everyone would come around when they first landed, and his fearful "Clarke, no! Get back" when she ran into the fence. Also in general I really liked how much in Clarke's corner Bellamy was this episode and all the supportive looks he gave her.

+ I did find it interesting that when the others were being dicks to Clarke Bellamy didn't say anything. He kept himself out of it and let Clarke work out those relationships herself while still giving her support.

+ I liked Clarke apologising to everyone but that at the same time she didn't just take the sniping. I liked her pointed "none of us can" because, yeah they have all done terrible things. I loved her little back and forth with Murphy - him pointing out that she's on her fifth try, her returning with "Yours too, Murphy" and that grin he gives her.

+ "Destroy the world, 200 years later they put you on a flag. See? Hope for us yet." - Bellamy. LOL. Favourite line of the episode.

+ I love that Clarke didn't want to take weapons. She does want to do better and she's trying from the very start.

+ That confrontation between Octavia and Kane was tense and painful. There is a lot of unresolved pain and hurt between them that I really do hope they one day get the chance to work through. They were both were right in parts of their fight. Kane helping McCreary and trusting him not to kill everyone was beyond stupid and I'm still mad about that dumbass nonsense. But Octavia absolutely went off the deep end and her burning the farm was about her own power. Her screaming traitor at him left me cold - she forced him into line and then was going to kill him so her anger over him turning against her cult does not make me sympathetic towards her.

+ In a different tense and painful relationship Raven and Abby hurt my heart. Again I found myself sympathising with both even though Abby was definitely the one entirely in the wrong. Raven's anger and refusal to trust Abby, her hurt over what Abby did, is completely fair. But I just want them to mend their relationship. I'm pleased that the end took a tentative maybe step to that when Abby declared 'never again' and gave the pills to Raven, which seemed to really get to Raven. Abby's apologised but now she has to show Raven she meant what she said.

+ In other painful relationship news - Raven/Clarke are still super rocky (obviously) and I'm sad. Her little dig at Clarke during the meeting made me frown and I find I have a lot more patience with Raven's anger at Abby than I do with her anger at Clarke. If they spend most of the season apart with Raven hating Clarke I'm going to be deeply unhappy.

+ "There’s no starting over without forgiveness, Bellamy. Who knows that better than us?" - Echo I liked this a lot and I hope this is the theme for this season. I also like that Echo is choosing to apply this to herself. Her defending Clarke, that she "did the right thing in the end", was great. I loved it.

+ Murphy pulling Emori into the lake was super cute. But at the same time I'm not sure where they are right now and I don't know if they even know? Sure, Emori acknowledged that she loved him in a life threatening situation but they had serious issues and he was such an asshole to her and they didn't fix any of that and I really don't want that to be papered over.

+ Murphy was being a complete dick to Emori at the end. Was that simply because he was reverting to his old ways or was he being affected by the suns?

+ Jordan is adorable. I love his enthusiasm. But I spent a lot of the episode wanting someone to give him a hug. It would be nice if the show explored how growing up so isolated from other people has affected him, perhaps contrasting him with Octavia and Madi who grew in similar situations.

+ I loved Clarke looking around, realising it’s radiation and rushing in to pull Shaw out. That said I'm not sure why she wasn’t affected at all? Primfire definitely affected her even if she healed so... ??

+ I liked Clarke’s little smile at Murphy’s singing.

+ I love that as soon as possible Niylah immediately went and woke Octavia. Also: so glad to see Niylah and I hope the show goes in an Octavia/Niylah direction this season.

+ I liked that little Bellamy/Miller exchange, that Miller apologised, that Bellamy accepted it and didn't blame him. It was nice.

+ Emori asserting that they hadn't even needed to send nightbloods to Alpha makes me think that's going to come back and be important.

+ I loved the Abby/Jackson hug goodbye and her telling him and Miller to keep each other safe.

+ Echo and Bellamy were very cute lying together in front of the fire.
