Run, Yala, Run
+ Dutch and Zeph working together was great. They ended last season in such a bad place emotionally that I'm here for Zeph regaining her memories slow enough to forgive Dutch in the process. This is the last season and I want them to end in a good place. Zeph's relief that she wasn't crazy, her happiness that she had a friend and wasn't alone anymore, and her running through the dangerous rain in order to save Dutch were all excellent.
I loved this exchange:
Dutch: You're not alone anymore.
[Zeph runs to Dutch and they hug each other tightly]
Zeph: Wait, were we lovers in our old life?
Dutch: What, no. No.
Zeph: Are you sure? Because this feels right.
The return of Zeph's crush on Dutch was great. She is so hot for Dutch and I loved it. Her getting distracted because "you are really beautiful up close" and calling her "super hot" and hoping being Dutch's fail safe means booty-call was great.
+ Zeph in general was excellent. I love that even without her memories she realised something was very wrong and was looking into it.
+ I don't think that the show is going to kill Zeph so quickly. Her being shot is a little worrying especially with the Lady's refrain that Dutch is alone, but I'm hoping that it was just to show that regardless of what the Lady thinks Dutch is never alone.
+ Liked all the Dutch, Johnny, D'Avin interactions. The first time they snuck aboard Lucy was fun.
+ I admit to being a little disappointed, but not surprised, that Johnny/Dutch wasn't more shippy just because I do ship them and this episode felt like, on Dutch's part at least, that they were very firmly platonic.
+ "If I die, you're grounded." - Delle Seyah Cute. I like assassin Delle Seyah protecting her son and them being a little snarky at each other and having each others back. I hope we get to see some of their journey rather then then spending a bunch of time off-screen (which is what I fear).
+ The Dutch/Delle Seyah scene was great. I loved Delle Seyah's multitasking - get her DNA and distract her so she could cuff her to the chair. She tells Ducth "I hate that you look like her" which I loved but it makes me think there was a third reason for that kiss, that it was also a little bit about getting to kiss the face of the woman she loves even if it's not her, and then hating Dutch and herself for that.
+ I'm curious how this whole memory thing works. Is it something the Lady is doing on every planet? How did Jaq and Delle Seyah manage to overcome it? I'd wondered if Jaq was immune and if that is how they ended up free it's interesting that he went to Delle Seyah first.
+ I'm enjoying this version of Pree/Gared. I loved all the emotion in their short scene, the way Pree's hand curled when Gared grabbed his wrist. The head of the police in secret love with a criminal he's protecting - I feel like this is something the real versions would have role-played.
+ Khlyen is alive! And somehow back in the physical world! I'm so excited about this development.
+ Since Khlyen didn't seem to be grieving for Aneela I'm going to assume she's alive somehow too. In fact if Khlyen is a prisoner of the Lady then perhaps it was Aneela who left the red assassin box for Dutch? Or perhaps she's who Delle Seyah and Jaq are going after?
+ I'm really hoping Yalena shows up. It'd be nice if she was a part of final bit of this story, a part of getting her family back.
