4x08 'Super Bad Boyfriend'

+ Poor Amenadiel. I thought his plot was really well done and bought the Amenadiel/Caleb connection completely. That scene with the police was scary and intense.

+ I don't get why Amenadiel would turn to random people at Lux for advice on fatherhood when he has a friend right there who literally is a dad? Sure, Dan brushed off his last attempt to reach out but I don't get why he wouldn't try again.

+ This episode was missing a moment between Lucifer and Amenadiel talking about Caleb but I really liked Lucifer being there for him at the end, silently supportive with whatever Amenadiel needed.

+ I liked Lucifer being honest with Eve and Chloe. I liked him telling Eve that she shouldn't have to change and neither should he.

+ I love that every attempt that Lucifer made to be a stereotypical bad boyfriend backfired with Eve enthusiastically getting into it too. I've grown to really enjoy her.

+ I liked Linda bonding with Eve. I love that pretty much everyone who meets her can't help but like her.

+ I loved the Linda/Lucifer final scene. I loved how teary-eyed Linda got at Lucifer's breakthrough.

+ I really don't get why Linda was so completely separate from Amenadiel's entire plot.

4x09 'Save Lucifer'

+ "Don't worry I've got you covered." I love how pleased Chloe was when she pulled out the mask. Chloe/Lucifer were very enjoyable this episode.

+ I love that Maze was in the delivery room with Linda, holding her other hand.

+ Amenadiel's fond smile when Linda was talking about their son taking trips to Heaven was a wonderful little moment but I'm disappointed we got no follow-up about the Caleb situation. She's a therapist and the mother of his child, this really feels like a discussion we should have seen. Did he or anyone even tell her what happened? I feel bad for both of them and the massive train wreck in-coming.

+ This is totally going to come down to Maze vs Amenadiel over baby Charlie, isn't it?

+ I like Maze/Eve but they didn't get near enough build up to resonate with me. I need more than one episode of them hanging out and bonding over one night of talk to buy Maze's infatuation to this degree. If they'd followed up with that Lilith chat they had several episodes back and sprinkled comparable scenes in every episode since it would have worked better. Instead, much like Dan/Ella, it feels like the writers are throwing two characters together just tie up loose ends.

+ I was pleased that Eve was helpful on the case and had a good idea. I loved her gleeful dance after Lucifer left. I loved her trying to figure out the perfect sexy pose at the accountants. She's just adorable.

+ Hearing Eve describe Dan as the 'cop Lucifer hates' made me sad. The devolution of Lucifer and Dan's relationship sucks. There was a point where they were kinda friendly and I miss it. But I loved Lucifer's self-absorbed response to Dan's accusation that he got Charlotte murdered. There was no guilt, no flinch, because he isn't to blame and knows it, and you see that hit Dan hard. The reveal that Dan has been projecting his self-hatred on Lucifer makes sense but I don't know that the conclusion of his arc is going to make up for how annoying it's been.

+ I liked the Dan/Maze scene and Dan turning to Linda for help.
