Mixed thoughts on the first four episodes of the season.
I really liked how they structured the first episode.
The fact that we haven't had one scene between Meredith and Alex in the first four episodes of this season bums me out and annoys me so much. I don't understand why? He's not mad at her over what happened. Both of them are going through changes/upheavals in their lives and they're each other's best friend! So why are they not being there for each other (as far as we get to see)?
Actually Meredith and Richard haven't had a scene either. It's weird considering they lost their jobs because they covered for her criminality and how important her relationships with both men are.
Meredith getting a text from Cristina delights me. It gives me fuel for the idea that they are constantly in touch via texting/email/calls/face time/whatever. I loved her message - "Move to Switzerland before Bailey murder you in your sleep" - ♥. That's so her. And that she chose Switzerland aka where she currently live and works made my shipper heart happy.
I love the whole Pac North storyline. It's an interesting twist to split the show between two hospitals and I'm finding myself invested in seeing Alex and Webber turn it into a good hospital. I really want Meredith to join them there after her community service.
My only issue with Pac North is that it's board is apparently throwing money at anything Alex asks for. If the hospital has all that money why the hell hasn't it's previous chief(s) used it? Even if they were incompetent or didn't care about the hospital I can't buy they wouldn't try and get all the best stuff or, you know, basic equipment. So Alex having all the money he wants to revamp the hospital ends up feeling too easy. This would have been a great place to tie into Meredith's crusade this season by showing a hospital with no money and how the doctors struggle to do their job.
I'm with DeLuca - Meredith running out of her community service was a terrible idea. There was no reason she had to see Bailey right then instead of waiting till the end of her day. She is being absolutely impulsive in the worst way.
What the heck is in the water at Grey Sloan? I'm not sure how I feel about both Amelia and Bailey being pregnant at the same time (and so soon after Teddy.) I don't get why the writers have decided to go in this direction. Do none of these doctors know how to use birth control?
I'm really enjoying Amelia/Link. Link is great and wonderful. They are really sweet together.
I loved Maggie immediately declaring to Bailey that she was on Meredith's side. It was sweet. In that same conversation I loved Amelia revealing that she never wins arguments with Meredith even in her own head so she's letting go of her upset over the article.
I'm good with the Maggie/Jackson break-up. I feel like it makes sense and was never that into them as a pair.
I ended up really loving Vic with Ripley and his death episode was heartbreaking so her and Jackson hooking up leaves me ehh~ We'll see.
I grew to really like Korasick last season which makes him being basically in dick mode 100% of the time annoying. I feel bad for him with how things went down with Teddy but that Owen restraining order was dumb and ridiculous. I am not enjoying him this season.
Qadri getting fired was a shock. I honestly hadn't realised that she was such a fan of Meredith though it always pleases me when people appreciate Mere. Qadri was definitely out of line but not firing offence out of line. That was not a good choice on Bailey's part.
