Grey's Anatomy 16x09 Thoughts

+ I'm loving all the mentions we've been getting of Cristina this season. Cristina sending Meredith a hot doctor gift delights me. She even gave him a Mc name! I mean McWidow isn't as snappy as the others but I'm still giving her a point. I am so curious about her thought process here. If she sent him for Meredith then she has to respect him as a doctor and think there's something about him that Meredith would connect with. A widow with children is a commonality but it has to be more. It's certainly gotten me a lot more interested in him than I might otherwise have been. Also he tells Mere "I've heard of you" and goes straight to the great firing but if he was sent to Grey Sloan by Cristina then he had to have heard about her before, right? He also says "Someone gave me a key" - Cristina? Does she still have shares in the hospital?
+ Also the voice over saying "Sometimes home is a person" to the elevator opening to Meredith texting Cristina made my shipper heart happy. At this point I jealousy hoard any crumb I can get. I just love them so much and miss Cristina. I hope they keep throwing mentions of Cristina in like this every other episode.
+ Poor Bailey.:( I was actually expecting something like this - that one of their baby's would have something horrible happen to it seemed almost inevitable - but I didn't think it would be this early or quick. I figured they'd milk it more. I'm sad that it means the end of her and Amelia being pregnancy buddies because I was rather enjoying that.
+ Link's shut down of DeLuca was harsh but I loved it. "You're not her equal. No offence, neither am I. I'm great, she's better."
+ Meredith's cheerful 'good morning, good morning' for some reason made me think of how interns used to call her Medusa and were terrified of her. How things change!
+ I hope Helm doesn't die because I rather like her and her giant crush on Meredith but I think she'd the person most in danger in that bar. She's in only 'well' known character that was in the direct path.
+ So not happy about the 'who's the father' drama that they suddenly decided to do with Link/Amelia/Owen. NO. >:( If they make Owen the father I'm going to be so mad. Plus we didn't even get the ménage à trois between Amelia, Link and Carina!
