iaria2x05 ‘Never Let Me Go’
• “Hmm. Vampire hating church annihilated. Wonder who did it? Fucking brilliant.” – Isabel. Heeeeeee. I love how she said that, hilarious. I love her. I hope she stays around.
• I was surprised by Stan’s talking down to Eric. Doesn’t he out rank them even if he is in their territory? Certainly I’d think he’d be older and more powerful. It just seemed weird for a lieutenant to talk that way to a Sheriff and for another to speak to him like an equal, as Isabel does, though that’s far more understandable.
2x06 ‘Hard Hearted Hannah’
• Eric tells Lorena: “Bill has something I want. He’s in the way.” And I love it. Eric actively moving to take Sookie from Bill, after asking again and again since he first met her. I can’t wait to see more of this.
• Terry helping Lafayette, recognising his trauma and saving him from Andy, and then holding Lafayette in his arms and trying to save him from himself, made me so sad. Oh, poor broken boys.
2x07 ‘Release Me’
• “It’s so sick teaching kids to hate like this.” – Sookie. So very true and so scary because it’s real.
• “They feel much more strongly than we do. Everything is urgent, exciting. Perhaps because their lives are so temporary.” – Isobel. Hmm, so fulfilling not love – it’s a science project for her – except it’s also love. I love his interest – he’s trying not to show it, just making casual conversation, but its there.
• “How does Bill Compton feel about your interest in Sookie?” – Isabel
“I am not interested in Sookie. And even less in how Bill Compton feels. My only interest is finding Godric.” – Eric
“Of course.” – Isabel
“Don’t look at me like that.” – Eric.
This was a very interesting conversation. So was her knowing/understand ‘of course’ about his relationship with Godric (and her knowing how devoted he is to him) or is it her being sceptical about Eric having no interest in Sookie and understanding of how he refuses to admit he is fascinated by her? Because it could be either but I’m leaning to the latter because the way he answers to her look.
• “I don’t think you could ever be a slut. I don’t think anybody is really.” – Hoyt. ♥ He is so sweet and wonderful. He and Jessica continue to be adorable together and I loved him setting up the room with rose petals and blood candles and music.
• “It’s addictive isn’t it? To be desired by something that powerful.” – Hugo. Hmm. Yeah this is pretty much my major id kink stated more concisely than I ever could.
• “Don’t ever talk about my sister!” – Jason. Oh, I love Jason’s love and loyalty to Sookie. I was kind of hoping for a moment where he’d be high in his brainwashing and they would present him with Sookie and that would just snap him right out of it, and he would pick her, because in the end its always family first.
• When Hugo was talking about how he wanted to be turned so that he could be Isabel’s equal and that because she wouldn’t that meant that she couldn’t let him be her equal and therefore was using him I just wanted Sookie to smack him upside the head and tell him that there a) is no equality among vampires, there are hierarchies like everywhere, and b) there is definitely no equality between a Maker and their Progeny.
• I love that Sookie managed to get through to Barry. That’s awesome. And I love that he answered her call and tried to help her (however grudgingly). I really hope that it doesn’t get him killed.
• So was Eric listening in to the Lorena/Bill fighting the entire time? Or did he only hear Barry because Barry was in the hall?
• Geez. Well, Sookie can now add ‘almost raped’ to her ever growing list of horrible things that have almost happened to her (and it’s getting to be a huge list).
