Three Killjoys and a Lady

I loved this episode.

+ Lucy :( That was so sad! I never actually considered that she could die. Her sacrificing herself to protect her crew was absolutely the best way for it to have happened. Her death scene was really well done and the goodbye between her and Johnny heartbreaking. I love that she manifested a human-looking form for it. Poor Johnny. It definitely felt like a permanent death but doesn't she have an offsite back-up?

+ Everything with Dutch/Johnny/D'Avin and them navigating not knowing who to trust was excellent. And so much fun. I loved how the alliances kept shifting between the three of them. I loved D'Avin immediately disarming both of them when he was released. I loved Johnny protesting when D'Avin and Dutch got emotionally mean with each other (ever the empathetic peace-maker).

+ I loved everything about the naked scene. The guys bickering about dick size and how Dutch got their attention. Dutch and Johnny's non-verbal communication to get to that point. This exchange:

D'Avin: Wait, why am I naked if it only takes two bodies?
Dutch: I didn't want you to feel left out.
[D'Avin smiles]

The only maybe negative is that Dutch wasn't by any definition naked, that sheet covered as much as a dress would, so Johnny's not looking reaction felt a little extreme (even considering his current mixed up feelings/attraction for her.)

+ I'm really not sure how I feel about Johnny apparently having clear romantic feelings for Dutch now. Especially since they made it clear in the first episode that Dutch does not feel the same way. I ship them a lot. I adore them together. But why, in the last season, have Johnny unrequited fall or realise he's in love with Dutch? Has he not suffered enough? So I'm a little apprehensive about where this is going.

+ I enjoy that D'Avin keeps bringing up that they were married and calling them each other's wife/husband.

+ D'Avin had a couple really great lines that made me laugh:

"You always take the machine's side." LOL.

"See? Khlyen. I told you! Ha!" Heee.

+ I definitely felt for D'Avin while he was stuck in the airlock. Especially once Dutch and Johnny turned on each other and he was helpless to do anything.

+ It's interesting that so far the Lady has taken the bodies of two young women especially with her acting against Khlyen and him taking on a mentor role with her this episode.

+ It's so great to have Khlyen onscreen again. I love that manipulative bastard.

+ I love that Dutch and D'Avin both knew that Johnny was lying but I think only D'Avin maybe has an idea about what he was lying about.

+ "I don't need to break you. I only need to break him." - Lady. I love that it's Johnny being used as Dutch's weakness not D'Avin as I would have expected.

+ I liked D'Avin's reveal that his torture was being earwormed by a guard's humming and the other two's expressions at it.
