Cherchez La Bitch
I loved it. All around very enjoyable episode with a lot of really great character interactions and just really fun.
+ Lucy's back! Not sure I buy Johnny not double and triple checking for backups of her but whatever I'll take it. "She's our baby. We had a baby." ♥ Aw, I've missed her and her and Johnny's banter. Nucy is just not the same. Also this just made me so happy for Johnny. Even without him being in unrequited love with Dutch I wasn't sure about his future but with Lucy alive I'm no longer worried about him.
+ 'Johnny' being D'Avin's safeword delights me.
+ This was a great Zeph episode. Honestly this has been an excellent Zeph season. I've really been enjoying her. I loved her "bag of shit tits!" swear.
+ I loved the Zeph/Dutch reunion hug and how tightly they held each other. I like that Zeph is back to trusting Dutch's promises. I love how worried Zeph was specifically about failing Dutch.
+ Pree/Zeph were super adorable in their opening scene. I loved the piggy-back and the talk leading up to it. This was overall a good episode for them. I love that when Pree started to make his request she jumped to mercy killing and he was all "fight for me!", heh.
+ Pree/Zeph/Turin team up was fun. This exchange really amused me:
Pree: No! And hell no, and then no again. What if the box cracks?
Zeph: We scream and run and die.
Turin: God damn it, next time I'm making the plans.
+ Turin and Turin/Zeph were really great too. I liked her opening up to him and then saving him. I liked his non-apology apology "I'm a shit head to everyone. It's my brand. Don't be so fragile" and then his little pep-talk before leaving her to lure the death squad away. It was all very him.
+ Poor Fancy, he always has the worst time. I love that he freed himself and then escaped the armada with Lucy.
+ "Happy to see me?" - Fancy
"Yeah, but you're never going to prove it." - D'Avin
D'Av and Fancy! I loved D'Avin's giant grin when he saw him. I loved the hug and D'Avin going all in and Fancy's little hesitation before returning it. I've missed them. It was a short little exchange but it made me so happy. Fingers crossed that they get at least one good scene together before the end.
+ I really liked the Pree/Gared relationship talk. Gared was right in calling Pree out for leaving him the dark. It reminded me a lot of Aneela/Kendry in the last episode. One side confronting issues they have with how the other is treating them, true emotions being revealed, and the relationship ending in a more solid place than it started. A+
+ Pree's "Well, equals a bit ambition, have you met me?" was great. Also I love him calling himself "the eye candy" to Zeph.
+ Depressed Khlyen is a sad thing. I was amused by the Lady asking if he was done grieving yet. I thought a couple episodes ago that their relationship came off very mentor/mentee and this episode confirmed it except even more than I thought. The Lady is definitely trying to get his attention and approval. In fact she seemed almost jealous about his feelings for his daughters and at the end she was trying to motive him to fight back against her and it all feels like she's trying to push Khlyen into being her father. Which is an interesting direction to take.
+ "Yeah, I get it. That's fair." LOLOL! The little cannibal prisoner conversation was hilarious. I love that D'Avin was still considering taking him if he ate 'bad people' and that they actually opened the door to hear what he had to say.
+ The Lady's babies being spider/squid creatures made me think of the spider in Pip's head. Why didn't any of the other characters, especially Zeph, think that too? Am I mis-remembering what happened with Pip?
