Pokemon Detective Pikachu

+ The reveal that Harry was in Pikachu, and that was why Tim could understand him and that it was Harry Tim was bonding with the entire movie, made complete sense and I can’t believe I didn’t figure it out. I liked that twist and I’m glad for Tim how it all played out but at the same time a part of me was also disappointed because I liked the bond between Tim and Pikachu, and it being amnesia Harry all along ruined the friendship in a way? Actually, you know what, the big problem was that we lost the character that was talking amnesia Harry Pikachu who I really liked so it made me sad. Real Harry isn’t the same.
+ I liked Tim. Good casting choice and I really loved him struggling over his feelings for his father. The scene where he expressed his grief and regret over not getting on the train was really well done.
+ Pikachu was great. I loved the animation choices. He was so expressive and adorable! I loved him.
+ I liked Lucy okay but I really wish she’d had more to do. At the end she really didn’t affect anything with all the knowledge she’d discovered and it left me wondering why she was even there, you know? Considering she’s a reporter investigating all this it was also a little weird that she wasn’t more involved with Tim’s investigation.
+ Also the Lucy/Tim sort of flirtation was completely unnecessary and half-hearted and I wish all lines about Tim liking her had been cut.
+ One of my favourite scenes was actually Tim’s first one with Lt.Yoshida. Man, Ken Watanabe is such an amazing actor and damn did he act the hell out of that scene. I was disappointed that he had such a small role in the movie and didn’t really contribute or help with the plot.
+ I liked all the pokemon and Ryme city.
+ The whole Mr. Mime sequence was great.
+ I liked Mewtwo.
