I liked it.

+ It was a very visually stunning movie and the CGI was excellent. I liked the feel of the movie and its deliberate pacing, and use of silence.

+ I liked K and felt really bad for him, even though at the same time I love the twist that he wasn’t actually Deckard’s kid/the chosen one. Poor K.

+ I’m choosing to believe that Deckard comes back out and saves K at the end. And then they go back and saved the dog. And then found family and replicant revolution.

+ There were a lot more women than I was expecting but at the same time some of the ways women were portrayed didn't entirely work for me. Also there were too many naked boobs in this movie for no reason I could see and the giant naked Joi hologram at the end, which should have been a really powerful moment (and mostly was), was a little ruined by the fact she was naked. Whyy? It took me out of the movie and I hated it.

+ I liked Joi a lot and the movie made me want to know more about her and I’m sad we couldn’t explore her more. There’s a lot of consideration about how much Replicates might be/are people but nothing is mentioned about the AIs. The end lays doubt on whether Joi had actual feelings for K or if it was simply programming, with the latter seeming to be true but I’m choosing to think it was at least a little the former. Her scene with the rain was great. I loved that scene between them when she told him to destroy her main console and transfer her to the emanator, her line about possibly dying ‘like a real girl’ and the fact that in the end he did it for her because it’s what she wanted even if he didn’t. I liked K/Joi in general.

+ Lt. Joshi was interesting and complicated. She was bigoted against Replicants (including J) and came onto him inappropriately but was also supportive of him, set him free and covered for him till the end.

+ I wanted to know more about Ana but I liked what little we did see of her. All I could think with Ana’s room is that a) they could have made it bigger, and b) given her windows out into the real world.

+ Luv was a really interesting character. I kind of wish she’d been able to turn her rage towards Wallace and we’d seen her kill him. I loved the scene where she coordinates a drone strike to protect K while getting her nails done.
