I liked it okay but not as much as I was hoping.
+ I loved how Veronica’s cold exterior covered a very soft and sad core. It was Veronica who stated that after they completed the heist they would never see each other again so I really liked that she was the first one we see reaching out. I wish we’d seen Alice’s reaction to her overture. I also liked how the timing felt like her letting go of her past (symbolized by giving the money in her son’s name) and then looking to the future she wanted by reaching out to Alice.
+ The biggest issue I had was that there was too much focus on the gang/election stuff. I didn’t care about it or the characters and a sketched out bare bones of the situation would have been more than enough. And then all that time could have been spent (vastly better) by developing the women and their relationships more. I so wanted more of them together.
+ The Veronica/Alice and Linda/Belle relationships got the most time to bond and I enjoyed both of them. Especially Veronica/Alice who I wanted so much more of. I also liked that Linda stayed behind to take Alice to emergence room and that small moment between Veronica and Belle after the heist.
