Nikita 2x11 Review

I loved it!
• Nikita and Alex back together again! Yay! God, it’s been far, far too long. They’ve always been the heart of the show for me and while I’ve been enjoying this season this episode just made obvious how much the show is missing by keeping the two of them apart for so long. I loved Nikita’s proud smile at Alex planning and then being all mentor-like. It was so wonderful to watch them saving each other and kicking ass together again. Nikita trying so hard to save Katya for Alex and Alex’s gratitude for it was great and I loved their final scene. I also loved the utter trust they showed in each other when they fought their way out of Semak’s estate. (Also the music choice during it – dramatic, epic, ‘together again!’ – amused me. I adore them and ship them so that’s totally the type of music I would choose and apparently so too does the show.)
I wonder how likely it is that Alex will defect back to working directly with Nikita again? Because that’s what I really want for the rest of the season. I can see Alex going back to Division maybe but the rift between her and Nikita seems pretty healed after this episode so... Alex as spy, part 2?
• I loved Owen and Michael’s fight with the guardian – which was awesome and brilliantly choreographed – and then them agreeing that they both wished Owen was still on the regiment – which was funny. Also funny was them limping away from the fight. Oh, and after they destroyed the black boxes and ran away – “Don’t stop until we get to Brussels just to be safe.” / “I’m not stopping until I run out of gas.” Hee. They’re rather fun together.
• This episode did very well at establishing the guardians as people who are very dangerous and serious threats, if previous episodes hadn’t.
• I liked Owen confronting Michael about his relationship with Nikita. I really liked how he did it too. The idea of Owen/Nikita was brought up but Owen wasn’t at all threatening or acting as if he could ‘steal’ Nikita. It was about making Michael aware that he needed to make a choice now – for Nikita and his son’s sakes. That Nikita needed it. (I love that regardless of whether he’s in love with her or not Owen just wants Nikita happy above all.)
• I’m not quite sure what I think of Katya yet. I think I’ll have to wait and see more of her. I don’t think she was in on the plan to kill Nikolai.
• Oh, Ryan trying to work Percy. So out of his league.
• “Nights not over yet.” – Alex. I loved Ari’s smile at that. I really think he’s going to prove to be an ally for her. I hope so because I enjoy him and he’d make her an excellent ally.
• So the guardian’s are Percy’s escape plan. Does this mean were going to get Guardians & Roan vs Division at some point? Because that could be potentially awesome. Especially if Team Nikita gets involved somehow.
• I was a bit disappointed that there wasn’t another female guardian.
