Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw
May. 15th, 2020 09:00 pmIt was okay. Some fun action scenes, some very dumb action scenes.
+ God, Shaw and Hobbs are such drama queens, lol. Not all of their bickering worked for me but overall I enjoyed them, and they amused me more often than not.
+ Idris Elba was absolutely the best choice to against the Rock and Statham.
+ Brixton and his bike were very cool. OTP!
+ I liked Hattie. She had some great kickass scenes. I liked how done she was with the bickering.
+ They should have made Hattie more obviously injured at the end because her not fighting back in the helicopter, until the end, was ridiculous. You could say she was trying to figure out the right time but that’s not how it came off.
+ None of them should have survived that crash over the cliff.
+ It bugged me that Owen was never brought up amongst the various Shaw family members.
+ I was sure that Helen Mirren was going to be the big bad because you don’t have Helen Mirren as just a cameo!
+ So did Hattie not go back to working with MI5? Because breaking someone out of prison is probably frowned upon!
+ The Kevin Hart cameo as Dinkley wasn't really necessary. Also when he was all 'we could be the holy trinity' my first reaction was hey Hattie is literally sitting right there!
+ I liked Locke and the Locke/Hobbs back and forth, though Locke was definitely very Ryan Reynolds. I enjoyed how he kept go off on tangents – and his annoyed look at the door being shot up interfering in his game of thrones rant amused me.
