I liked it.

That final Ruby/Kathy confrontation was great. I loved that Kathy knew exactly what trap she was walking into and brought backup. I loved how Ruby refused to be intimidated, kill her or not, she was not going to cower. I loved them agreeing to remain equal partners (what's a little attempted murder?), perhaps for the first time. I like to think that it will last and not end in backstabbing.

I loved the reveal of Ruby the Mastermind. That she had Agent Silvers working for her the whole time, that she set up their husbands to go to jail, that she married Kevin in the first place just to get a foot in the door, and then flattered Kathy into agreeing to go into business and ‘lead the way’ so she could get control of Hell’s Kitchen. I appreciate how ruthless she was.

I loved the Kathy/Jimmy confrontation scene and Kathy leaving Jimmy to be killed after he put their kids in danger while trying to undermine her. It was such a great moment for the character. It was one of my favourite scenes.

I ended up liking Alphonso Coretti. He was arrogant and pushy in his first scene with them but he was also relatively fair in their deal. Then he told the women that a hit had been put out on them and took care of their housekeeping for a fee. Finally, him calling Kathy when her husband went to him behind her back out of loyalty to their partnership was great. I really appreciate that he genuinely was a good partner to the women. During the phone call he was honestly rather soft in reassuring Kathy about her kids and then the way he took a backseat in her confrontation with her husband was what really sold me on him.

I was sad that Claire was killed. I loved that she woke and shot Colin before he could shoot her. That was pretty badass, and showed how much she changed, and it was so sad when it was immediately followed by her death.

Claire/Gabriel were great. I love that they ended up so perfectly matched for each other. I loved Claire telling Ruby to never threaten Gabriel again. I loved how absolutely gone he was on her. I loved her finding strength in their relationship (for the first time ever with a guy) and the way he stepped back and let her take the lead and supported her wants and desires.

I liked that both Ruby and Claire got moments of satisfaction in dealing with their abusers. Ruby stood up to Kevin and told him she was in charge, and her killing Helen. Claire with getting to kill Rob. Murder that I feel both of them dreamed of.

I rather love the thing that brings Kathy's dad around was her having her husband killed to protect her kids. I also really loved that she refused to accept that excuse telling him that she was doing it for herself, and all the reasons why, and that he still supported her.

I did like that little moment of grief when Ruby saw Kevin's body. It could have been an act but I don't think it was. I think she was surprised that she did feel sadness when she saw his body.

I loved that it was two women who robbed the Rabbi. It was a small thing but really great all the same. I wish we'd seen more women working for them.

Maria Coretti only had two scenes but I loved her voicing her support for the women and what they were doing and her reassuring Kathy.
