Agents of Shield 7x01 & 7x02 Thoughts

iaria7x01 'The New Deal'
Things I liked:
+ The twist that Hydra are the target not SHIELD and that they have to protect/save Hydra to save the future.
+ Yo-Yo touching her face with her new hands that can actually feel.
+ Mack grumbling to himself to not make waves.
+ Daisy's second look at Mack and telling him "You look good" and his little smile.
+ Jemma dealing with the Chronicom Hunter - I love when she's cold and ruthless.
+ Daisy/Coulson and Daisy apologising for hitting the button and bringing him back against his wishes.
+ LMD Coulson realising that he's dead/a robot and doesn't have to worry about being hurt.
+ Everyone dealing with Deke and his offended reaction [Mack 'no patenting', Jemma 'you stole a car', Yo-Yo 'you killed a police officer', etc.] It amused me. Also them ribbing him for the terrible badges he made.
+ Everyone all dressed up in '30s fashion.
+ "Quake. I've been looking forward to this."
"Huh. Well, sorry it's just another fight for me."
+ Yet another Koenig. And Daisy not being impressed with him.
+ Enoch in general. I enjoy him. I loved his self-reproaching "you had one job" at the end.
Other:
+ While I like the twist reveal about who they need to protect from the Chronicoms I don't entirely buy the reasoning that without the American branch of Hydra (who we know is a millennia spanning cult) there will be no SHIELD.
+ Sometimes I'm left wondering about the whys of when Daisy uses her powers. In the fight in the kitchen there was no one around, she clearly wasn't getting anywhere in hand-to-hand so why the hell wasn't she using her powers?
+ 'His kind', just makes me want to tell Yo-Yo that maybe someone who others could talk about as "your kind" shouldn't be saying it about other people.
7x02 'Know Your Onions'
+ I rather love that Daisy decided fuck it and told Deke to kill Freddie. It was impulsive and probably not the right choice but I get the impulse. She and Rhodey would get along! That said, it was a really heavy thing to put on Deke. He is not a killer, he'd already stated he liked/empathised with Freddie, and it wasn't kind or fair to put that on him.
+ So we're not working with the multiverse theory of time travel now? Because that's the movies and also how the whole apocalyptic Deke future was resolved, right? Whatever. I'd love it if they did end up changing some, maybe unexpected, things accidentally. [Trip's alive! Everyone's alive!]
+ Enoch introducing himself to May as 'best friend of Leopold Fitz' made me go aww.
+ I loved Koenig in the Zephyr.
+ Sending only Koenig and Enoch after Freddie doesn't make much sense. Koenig, sure but the whole point of Enoch going with them was to go against the Chonicoms.
+ They were all being very cavalier about talking about the future in front of people in the past.
