Dead to Me Thoughts

+ So is the 9 to 20k for Judy's paintings part of the money laundering and thus they don't actually sell well, or has Steve been keeping their true worth from her? I could see it both ways.
+ "I can't lose her and those kids." That's sweet and I loved her calling them 'my family' but it made me wish there had been more scenes, especially in these last couple episodes, of Judy bonding with Charlie and Henry.
+ The fact that Judy brought Nick into the investigation in part to make Jen happy makes me smile and also shake my head.
+ "You’re the fucking driver!!" LOL. He's such a dick but I totally understood this little freak out at Judy.
+ Abe is the best.
+ I loved Judy turning Steve in even if it was a bad idea. Not sure how she thought that wasn't going to lead to him trying to take her down too.
+ Also Steve continues to be deeply stupid - why the hell wouldn't he have cleared out the evidence locker of his crimes especially after telling Judy she was on her own?
+ The reveal that Lorna had been Jen’s mentor and Jen had left her does give their relationship a slightly different spin which I like. I also liked that Lorna did seem genuinely sorry for Jen when Charlie decided to move in with her. She's not one to hide her feelings so if she was feeling spiteful she would have rubbed it in her face. The fact that she was so much less vitriolic towards Jen gave her more dimension. I feel like Jen coming back to her professionally and 'repent' and needing her help probably helped a lot.
+ I was really glad that Jen refused to gloss over her hitting Ted. It doesn't matter the gender make up of the partners - you did not hit someone, regardless of how angry you are. It's not okay.
+ "I had no idea I would love you so much." Ouch.
1x10
+ The Judy/Jen confrontations were so painful to watch. But at the same time Jen's reaction was completely understandable and in fact I was surprised anger-issues Jen wasn't more aggressive against Judy.
+ Really sad Abe died.
+ I guess next season is going to be a) a slow reveal about what happened between Jen and Steve that led to him being shot. Since they didn't show it there are several probabilities - did he attack her, did they struggle over the gun, did she shoot without any further discussion? and b) Judy/Jen rebuilding their relationship as they cover up Steve's murder.
Because you know, despite how dumb it is and with the ample evidence of Ted's death as an example, the two of them are going to try and cover it up instead of calling the police like sensible people. Which - sigh - but also I'm excited to see how this plays out.
I do think that's inevitable that at least one of the kids saw what happened but I'm not sure which one is most likely.
