I was not expecting Gon and Lim to meet so quickly. I'm curious about how their confrontation is happening when and where it is. Did Gon order the guards to let him though and have him followed, or did Lim come through somewhere else? Did Lim want Gon to find him? Because he seemed very cavalier about Gon suddenly showing up in the crowd.
I loved the anger we got from Gon when he was dealing with Lim's two minions. He was ruthless and even rather vindictive with the one he essentially sent into an oubliette which I enjoyed. I loved his intensity during his call with Lim. I did think that it might have been better to not let Lim know he was on to him so quickly but also I get why he had to answer it.
I liked Gon/Tae-eul. They need to work on their kisses because the quick pecks were just silly (and there were a couple places where I was expecting a kiss and there wasn't one) but how the kiss scene played out was adorable. I enjoyed their interactions in the opening scenes. I liked Tae-eul turning him holding her wrist into hand-holding. I loved Gon watching her on the security footage. I liked that Tae-eul got a photo dressed royally and then matched it up with Gon's picture on the money. I loved Gon's "If I'm late, it's because I'm on my way." which felt meaningful. I also just like that they are emotionally open with each other.
The security footage of Tae-eul and yo-yo boy two years in the future is really intriguing! Everything about it interests me - yo-yo boy looking at Gon and the question of who he is (fate?), it being 2022, the fact that a lightning storm in the future seen through security footage still hurts Gon.
I figured that Eun-sup would be completely terrible as Yeong, and he was, but also managed to do better than I was expecting so I suppose there's that. Still he is a sweetheart but is in completely over his head, and there are so many ways this can go wrong. I feel like simply having Yeong off on a secret mission would have been a better explanation and less suspicious.
I did love Eun-sup's reaction to Gon and Seo-ryung's exchange about marriage.
Eun-sup playing iron man with Gon's beauty helmet/face mask thing was cute.
I'm really curious about why Shin-jae was Lim's mistake considering it got him a fairly high up source of information in the palace. It seems to have worked out for him.
It seems now that Shin-jae's Korean mother didn't know that her son was switched for his counterpart. It came off to me that he was in a coma and she thought it was her son who woke, her miracle. Now I'm going to feel so badly when she learns the truth. It also looks like Corean mother chose to give her son away. He seemed healthy, so to a 'better' rich life?
Prince Bu-yeong just happening into that specific bookstore was deeply suspicious and there is no chance that was happenstance. I can't figure out what game he's playing.
I loved Gon's reaction to Yeong's password/Eun-sup cracking it his first try.
Yeong's laptop being covered in photos seems a little out of character and now I really want to know what they were.
I rather enjoyed Ok-nam giving Gon the cold shoulder for once, and her retorting that he didn't tell her when he left when he complains about her not coming to greet him was great.
I wonder what Gon's reasoning is for not telling Tae-eul about the flute? I thought he trusted her completely and this would probably be a good thing to tell at least one other person about.
I loved the reveal about Seo-ryung's husband being in jail and being her source of information. That was a great scene. I love how Seo-ryung owns her ambitions and didn't even blink at him threatening her.
So Lim - was he just spending a lot of time in the in-between place rather then in either world and thus didn't age or, did he figure out a way to use the in-between place/the flute to travel between time too?
