We got some nice Shin/Chae-kyung moments amongst the angst and him being a jerk. I loved the scene in his bedroom with him inviting her to lie beside him and her falling asleep. He was so gentle when he saw her asleep, tucking her in and curling around her. Him picking her up after her faint and carrying her away was great but I liked that shot of him sitting in the car with her head in his lap. I loved all the scenes of him taking care of her while she was unconscious in bed.

We've graduated rather quickly from Shin feeling jealous but keeping quiet before Thailand to post-Thailand him actually confronting Yul and warning him off, while physically keeping him and Chae-kyung apart. Interesting timing. Other indications of his growing feelings: the affectionate way he spoke of her to his sister and his little jealous fit at the thought that she was disappointed to be married to him instead of Yul.

Then of course there was Shin possessively claiming Chae-kyung to her parents - he is her guardian now, not them. Him not giving her permission to return to her parents home to recover because he was afraid she wouldn't return was a seriously dick move but also, yup, feelings.

It was actually rather nice to see the Queen outside of her self-contained coldness. Her losing her tempter at Shin was great. But I also loved him telling her off for being so discourteous to barge into his palace - using her strict adherence to decorum against her and being protective of his wife. Meanwhile, Chae-kyung spending the whole scene in one big flinch before literally fleeing at the soonest opportunity - lol. I don't blame her.

Yul's reasoning for not using the kiss photo to take Shin out right then was sound and appropriately conniving but I don't think it's the real reason. At the very least there is more Chae-kyung in this decision than he's saying. He doesn't want to hurt her more and also because she's sick and he doesn't want to chance this making her worse. After all it "hurts him as well" when she's sick. There's also the possibility that he wants more time to win her over to his side? Having second thoughts - eh, I don't think so but I can't tell either way.

I wish we could have seen the maids reaction to Chae-kyong and Shin cuddling in his bed.

Continue to also love Chae-kyung's family and her relationship with them.

I like Hye-myung. She is an interesting contrast to the very strict world of the palace and I'll be interested to see if she conforms more the as she stays home, or if she's found a way to be herself while still living there.

I love that Hye-myung's introduction to her new sister-in-law is when she runs her down on a horse with the yelling maids running behind her, ha. That feels like the right first impression.

The Hye-myung/Shin scene was nice. I really loved Shin almost proudly telling his sister that Chae-kyung found the palace exciting and is causing it to change around her. Hyo-rin wouldn't have been able to handle the life happily, but Chae-kyung really might. Interesting that Hye-myung had nothing negative to say about Shin's behaviour, no reprimands for being out with Hyo-rin while married.
