iaria+ I loved the look at palace politics and the lines and loyalties being drawn between the palace maids. Lady Choi vs Lady Kwak was great. I love how protective Lady Choi is of Chae-kyung.
+ I can’t believe no one told either of them what they wanted them to do but just dressed them up and locked them in a room. Seriously? Just talk to them like grownups! Geez. Especially since if the Great Queen Mother/Queen had explained why they thought it was a necessary step there’s a better chance it would have actually worked.
+ Shin is so frustrating. He clearly cares for Chae-kyung a lot. He comes out with stuff like ”I feel empty (without you)” and telling her he’s going to need her with him when he reigns but then follows it up with because he’ll be bored.
+ Hwa-yong doesn’t even seem to consider that Yul might be unhappy with the idea that Chae-kyung and Shin are going to sleep together, even though she knows he likes her. Is she that self-absorbed or she is yet again punishing him, this time for scolding her for Chae-kyung? Honestly I could buy either. She stopped him from interfering so she obviously remembers Yul’s feelings.
+ The Chae-kyung/Shin scenes were nice. I loved that this time he actually did manage to save her from a scolding. Honestly if they had been the ones to get married I think they could have been a good couple. But at this point it’s entirely one-sided and while I feel bad for Yul even if he succeeded in his every goal their relationship would never be what he wanted.
