"Do you think you can leave without my permission? I'm going to make you live with me for the rest of your life. That's the price you'll pay for hurting and betraying me." Okay, I kind of loved this.

"I believed you'd come. I thought you'd come however mad you were." Oh, Chae-kyung. I felt for her. The fact that he didn't go for her and that when he left the room he didn't ask the King for permission to go get her does not speak well for him regardless of how hurt he feels. Meanwhile, it's the first thing Yul asks and has clearly been heavy on his mind.

Shin's hurt is real but his assertion that that they were plotting to betray him made me go a little ???? I thought him overhearing them would lead to him to understanding that Yul has been actively trying to interfere in their relationship but instead he went in a direction I wasn't expecting.

Why is it that Chae-kyung can be so open and honest about her feelings, about both Yul and Shin, to Yul but not to Shin? The fact that they both know they like each other and yet there's still such a distance between them is getting a little tiring. I feel like if they sat down and said to each other 'you hurt me but I love you' it would clear things right up.

Chae-kyung has been nothing but honest to Yul about her feelings for him but he's refused to accept it every single time. That's pretty much entirely on him yet I do feel very sorry for him. The way he talks about Chae-kyung, like - "She makes my heart laugh. Whenever I look at her my face and heart smiles." is so sweet. I love his unhidden care and concern and the way he is always there for her. I felt really bad for him when she basically ended any relationship between them going forward. Ouch.

"I shut my head and heart, but Chae-kyung kept creeping in." I like how this could almost equally describe both Yul and Shin. (Shin did have Hyo-rin true but I do wonder just how much he let her in.)

Chae-kyung starting to cry instead of answering the Queen Mother's question was strange. She has no problem telling Yul that she doesn't love him so why not tell them when they ask? I was confused about that scene. Do they think she does have feelings for him? Were we supposed to take that as an admission that she does have some romantic feelings for him after all?

I loved Shin finally calling Yul on not being the only one to suffer and that Shin's life had it's own challenges.

Considering how much the King likes to yell a people he was really gentle and kind to Yul. Though I suppose if anyone would understand loving a woman you're not meant to have it would be the King.

Good on Yul for turning down the King's offer/order to get married right away. He has the bravery the king didn't to choose love above all, or at least the common sense to know marrying when you're in love with someone else isn't the right thing to do.

I want a series from the pov of the staff on everything that happens in this series. They hear and see so much drama.

I'm sure Hwa-young informed the elders about everything in a very biased way but still my first thought was of course a bunch of old men would want to punish the girl too.
