Birds of Prey

That was so fun! I loved it.
I loved the choice of having Harley narrate/voice-over the entire movie and how it occasionally jumped between events according to how she was haphazardly telling it. The non-linear storytelling worked really well. I also liked the animated opening.
I loved the look of the movie and how bright and colourful it was. Harley's attack on the police station with the coloured powder and glitter bombs was really pretty. It really felt like a comic book movie.
I loved Harley. She was so great. I love her Jack Sparrow/Looney Tune-esque ability to do something random/unexpected and have it turn out surprisingly well. I love how she fights - the complete glee in it and how she uses the space and objects around her and how acrobatic she is. It’s fun to watch. I loved her blowing up Ace Chemicals. I loved the whole sequences with her egg sandwich. She was just a really fun character in this movie.
I loved Harley's little moments of pyschoanalyzing. The fact that she did it to Roman multiple times, interrupting him each time to his fury, was great. I loved her doing it to Helena while Dinah nods in agreement beside her.
I loved the relationship between Harley and Cass, and the movie ending with Harley taking Cass as her apprentice. The little heart sticker on Cass's cheek was the perfect touch.
I love that at the end Cass saved herself.
Dinah was great. My second favourite. I love that she tries so hard to only look out for herself but that she is all warm gooey marshmallow centre.
I loved Harley/Dinah. Their unexpectedly serious talk at the bar about harlequins was excellent. I loved Dinah saving Harley from being kidnapped.
I loved the sort of showdown between all the Birds in the Booby Trap and how it all led to them being on the same side. I loved half-paralyzed Harley stabbing Zsasz with the dart over and over and Helena trying to peace out. The subsequent fight in the funhouse was great. I loved all the Birds protecting Cass both individually and then working as a team. I loved Harley passing Dinah a hair tie during the fight. The fight itself was just fun with all the props.
Harley's shoe change to skates mid-fight and Dinah commenting on it - ha.
I loved Harley's glee at getting to work with the other three women to take on an army of 'bad guys'. She was so happy!
Dinah's gleeful amusement at Helena's rage issues was great.
I loved Helena taking out the minion on the slide (very cool!), Harley's appreciative "you're so cool" and Dinah's wide smile and nod in agreement.
I love how much of a dork Helena is. She's trying so hard to be menacing and badass and failing so hard. She's so adorably awkward. I loved her proud smile when Harley pointed out she killed Roman's best friend. I loved her giving Cass the toy car to hold.
I liked Montoya and I was glad at the end when she decide she wasn't putting up with that shit anymore and quit being a cop in order to become a vigilante with the others.
Loved Bruce of course. He was adorable. Harley's obvious love and delight in him was great.
I was surprised that when it looked like the car was about to crash Harley jumped away from it - and didn't attempt to pull Cass out of the car with her. She just abandoned her in the crashing car to save herself. I mean it's not out of character but it felt weird with her post-betrayal decision to protect Cass.
I was surprised that the Joker dumped Harley but then a) didn't make it immediately widely known, and b) let her continue to pretend to be with him.
