Grey's Anatomy 17x03 Thoughts

I liked it.
+ I thought the episode did a good job balancing Meredith's situation and everyone reacting to it with not making the episode about her. I loved her scenes with Maggie and Maggie's worry/fear for her, and Maggie confronting Teddy over her ability. I liked the phone call between the sisters. I liked Meredith and Bailey having a moment and holding hands. I liked Jo telling Bailey that Mere had to survive. I liked DeLuca's worry for her and how he keeps fighting for her. I liked that it covered all her most important relationships.
+ "We all need you." - Richard. Aww. On the one hand, Meredith choosing Richard for her POA was sweet but at the same time is he really the best option? As she said he's known her all her life and he's as much family as anyone, and he's her sister's father which puts him in an even tougher position, and honestly I don't know that I buy that he would be able to make the tough choices Meredith might need. "Choose someone who will chose you over and over again" - is that really Richard and is that a fair position to put him in?
+ The Meredith/Cormac scene was lovely. Also I liked his oh so casual questioning of Maggie on how Meredith was doing. "I don't want her to think she's special." indeed.
+ I liked the Jo/Linc scene. Very cute friendship exchange.
+ It was nice to hear Alex's name and Bailey's "I know what he means to you", and I love that he was still Meredith's power of attorney.
+ I like what they're doing with Derek. But they're not going to be killing Meredith at the end of this right? I wonder if they'll use this as a way for Meredith to finally let go of him?
+ So was Owen messing with Koracick about the covid diagnosis to get rid of him? Because it kind of felt like that. I continue to feel really sorry for Koracick. I mean he was cheating which is bad and was absolutely in the wrong but he's so alone and Teddy broke his heart again and he just failed horribly at his job and he has no one, and he's a dick but I like him! Him gently rejecting Teddy is actually a good step-forward for him and I hope that's what it ends up being.
+ I actually quite liked the little Richard/Koracick scene. I'd love it if Richard decided to make Koracick a project.
