Being Human 2x06 Thoughts
Jun. 19th, 2010 10:33 pm2x05 had my favourite Annie/Mitchell/George scene. They are adorable.
2x06 ‘In the Morning'
This was the best episode of the series. I pretty much enjoyed it throughout.
• Annie’s storyline was wonderful. It actually made me cry when she made contact with her mother. I have to admit that I never thought about Annie’s family, never wondered about why we never saw her visiting them, and now I can’t believe it never crossed my mind. Annie connecting with her mother was wonderful, and the most moving moment on the show. I just wish they’d been able to talk more.
• My favourite moment was Annie making the tissue flower and explaining how it probably drove her mother mad how much she made them and just after she says it her mother says how much she loved those flowers. It was just so very mother/daughter and wonderful.
• I also loved Annie working as the assistant/go-between for psychic Alan Cortez and that really could have been a wonderful possibility for her.
• I’m really glad to see that her tombstone has been changed (and the horrid ‘fiancée of Owen’ is gone).
• I liked Mitchell’s storyline as well, though I have been skipping a bunch of it, and his final talk with Ivan was wonderful. I loved the feeling of family and the sense that they were this functional nest. I like what Mitchell built.
• I loved the Mitchell/Josie flashbacks in the previous episode and how they informed Mitchell’s relationship with Lucy in this one, his hope, which makes their relationship more believable.
• George was mostly boring but not in a bad way. Once again they have his relationship moving at light speed but at least this time he’s called on it in show and it’s obvious that he’s moving way to fast.
• The final explosion was well done.
• I also liked that we got Kemp back story which made him much more multi-dimensional and the scene where Lucy confesses to him then hugs him was very well done especially his reaction to her hug.
