I enjoyed it.

+ I like the writing. I like the sense of humour and there were a lot of turns of phrase that I remember enjoying as I read.

+ I like the magic system.

+ The magic creatures are neat. The genoii locorum were great. I loved Mama Thames and Father Thames and Peter's interactions with them. I liked how Peter ended up getting around Tyburn.

+ I like Peter a lot. I love his unabashed curiosity - how he questions everything, how he gets side-tracked learning new things and questioning how things work, how he's always inquisitive, how he works at problems. He's clever

+ I liked how Peter eventually defeated Mr. Punch and Father Thames place in it. Molly biting him sending his spirit into the past felt really random. Was that an ability mentioned earlier that I missed? I also liked Peter's final scene with Henry and how that played out.

+ Why the hell did Peter go running towards 'Leslie' instead of casually approaching her? At that point Henry didn't know that Peter suspected and by approaching her that way it made it super obvious that he knew. Instead he should have waved, walked over to her, asked what was happening - you know all the usual stuff. Then stick her with the needle. This seems like common sense! Later on he plays a role to get close but why the hell didn't he do that the first time? It bugged me as the confrontation played out between Peter and Henry and I kept think this wouldn't be happening if he hadn't been an idiot.

+ Peter constantly noticing features of women he finds attractive and getting horny or noting that he wasn't going to look really stuck out to me. Maybe I've just been reading too many books with female POVs but I did find it a little annoying/intrusive.
