I've Waited For You, Too"

+ I liked Ji Ah asking about Ah Eum and it felt like she wasn't pushing him on information out of respect to his feelings but all the same I felt like she was taking the revelation that she was the reincarnation of his first love weirdly - easily? Like there is no angst about what does this mean about their relationship (maybe because they haven't actually progressed into a romantic one yet?) No overwhelming curiosity about what exactly it means or the need for more info on who Ah Eum was as a person and if he sees her in Ji Ah.

I liked the kiss at the end but at the same time it really felt like Yeon wasn't seeing Ji Ah but rather was having a flashback to the past. Especially with her saying she'd been looking for him. It seemed that in that moment he was seeing Ah Eum.

+ I loved Ji Ah musing "you don't have many friends" and then, before he had time to get really offended, following it with a happy "Neither do I" and the two of them laughing and toasting another thing they have in common. Cute!

+ I loved Yeon's expression when he watched Ji Ah try mint ice cream for the first time and love it. Sweet.

+ I really love that the first thing Ji Ah wanted to do was solve the ghost girls problem and help them to move on.

+ Little Ji Ah blackmailing her doctor so she could be released from the psychiatric centre is amazing. I love her so much.

+ I loved that Yeon stuck around watching over little Ji Ah and him sending the fireflies to her was really sweet. I'm really curious about how long he kept an eye on her for - has he been there in the background of her life the entire time?

+ The Shin Joo/Yeon/Ji Ah scene was very fun. I loved Shin Joo babying Yeon and giving Ji Ah explicit instructions on how to care for him as if he was a child (rubber duckies in the bath, ha), and Yeon's subsequent offence. The fact that Yeon actually did burn his mouth made me laugh.

+ I'm getting sold on Shin Joo and Yoo Ri romance. I think he could be great for her (both as a countervailing influence to Rang and just as a kind and care-taking guy who would be that for her) and the reveal that he couldn't have saved the dog is interesting too with the idea that her amorality could be an asset in any relationship between them. I'd love for that to come into play (like Shin Joo needs to save Yeon but can't but Yoo Ri can and does for him, sort of deal.) Also I really like how different he is with her compared to other people.

+ Yoo Ri's hair comb weapon and how effectively she used it was great. I really enjoyed her this episode. Her glee at dealing with the baseball players was fun and I loved her saving the dog against Rang's orders and taking him to Shin Joo for help.

+ Man, Rang is such a dick but I feel for him so much. His little tangent about how he doesn't feel anything any more and just wants it to end was sad. The flashback to the aftermath of the fire was pretty heartbreaking - Rang grieving over his puppy, wanting to do what's right and end his suffering but being unable to and helplessly calling for his brother's help... :( At this point it looks like Yeon was Rang's only family and is the one who took care of him. It makes his laser focus on Ah Eum hit harder when he was apparently Rang's whole world.

+ Interesting how this episode seemed to emphasised the similarities between Yeon and Rang - their compassion for the girls/dog and coldness towards their tormentors and then the fact that they both intimidated/beat the information they wanted out of Old Man Jangseung.

+ I did find Yeon beating up Old Man Jangseung a bit weird. That doesn't really seem his style based on what we've seen of him thus far. Especially since he wasn't even a target but simply a random neutral spirit he wanted information from.

+ I definitely felt satisfaction that the baseball players punishment was to lose their talent and that none of them would play baseball again.

+ So I guess if Yeon's unattainable desire is to become human the series is going to end with him becoming human, right? Meh.

+ Wait, her uncle picked up from the hospital and then dropped her off alone in front of her house??? I'm pretty sure that's illegal! Did she just live alone in that house with her uncle pretending to be taking care of her? (While presumably paying all the bills on the house.) Weird.

+ Wait, so all kids go to 'children's hell'? I agree with Yeon, excusing it as pushing them into reincarnation faster is not a good reason for it to exist.
