4x05 'Holy War, Part 1'

I loved Doc's quiet "You are everything." ♥ I think the fact that he said it so quietly to himself made it even better. Knowing the show has been cancelled I really hope he and Wynonna manage to get their act together by the end of the season.

Who is Wynonna if she's not the Earp heir? I think it'd be better for her to be looking for an identity and purpose away from being the Earp heir rather than being more set in that being her identity. Why can't she help and do good without being the heir?

Wynonna calling for Peacemaker like it's a dog amused me.

Aw to Jeremy's reunions with everyone.

Wynonna smelled smoke and stopped to put pants, a shirt, her jacket and boots on? If they're going to start the scene with her in her underwear for sexy times then they need to not have her fully dressed in the very next scene. Especially not those pants which do not look like they were quick to throw on.

4x06 'Holy War, Part 2'

What the fuck, Wynonna?! Holy fuck! I get that she wasn't around for Holt and Doc's agreement and she's missing information but 1) he just put down his gun and chose to walk away from trying to kill them (even though Waverly just murdered his mom) and that wasn't being "distracted" that was a choice, and 2) he was human! He wasn't a Reverent. He wasn't inhabited by a demon. He wasn't some supernatural creature. He was human. She literally straight-up murdered someone! This lands especially badly in the light of her a) having that whole speech about being a hero, and b) that she came from the Sanctuary of Women Scorned that was filled with innocents who Wyatt murdered. WTF, girl?

I felt so sad for both Doc and Wynonna during their last conversation. I'm on Doc's side, what she did was so wrong, but I understand Wynonna's position too. I thought in the last episode that she needed to find a new purpose instead of being stuck on being the heir and honestly I think this episode proved me right. I love that Doc doesn't want to be 'busted up inside' anymore and I hope the latter half of the season at least shows Wynonna on the journey to not accepting that's who she has to be and instead has he deciding that she wants to be better too.

It doesn't get addressed but Wynonna shooting Holt in the back when Doc convinced him to walk away in a shared understanding of giving up the vendetta had to have felt like a massive betrayal. Especially when she thanked him.

I am so freaking happy to that Rosita returned! I am so happy that she got a much happier ending and that she and Wynonna made peace. I'd love to see her again but even if we don't I feel a lot better about where she's ended up now vs in the season 2 finale. Especially that she and Wynonna forgave each other and ended in a friendly place. The fight was fun and them agreeing to run away and fight together was great.

"I don't know. I'm sorry." I do believe that Waverly is sorry. She was enraged when she killed Mam but appalled afterwards. But she also knows exactly what she did - she killed Mam to save Nicole. A life for a life. It's as simple as that. Here's the thing - Mam was terrible. Murdered her own son terrible. She would never have stopped and she would never have agreed to a peace. She hated them too much. I think Waverly made the best choice she could. She seemed pretty together and okay at the end but I feel like this is something she's going to have to emotionally deal with as time passes.

I feel bad for Holt. He was raised in an abusive home and forced into a family vendetta he didn't want. I honestly believed that he wanted peace. When he chose to put down his gun and go for a drink with Doc he was giving up the vendetta. There could have been peace. Based on everything we've seen of him he seemed like a fairly good guy and his desires were very understandable.

The whole Nicole/Waverly/Jeremy/Nedley plot was fun. I love how Nedley is always down to help everyone and go along with whatever weird shit is happening in their lives.

I loved Wynonna's constant mentions about how hot she finds Rosita - she smells good, she's sexy, she has an 'ample perfect chest', and 'it'd be a shame not to (save her ass)'.

I was a little disappointed that we didn't get more between Doc and Rosita.

The episode was pretty full so I get why it wasn't really addressed but I found the lack of follow up with Rachel very off. She looks for Billy, decides that he was likely killed (simply because she couldn't find him but did find his phone? That is some serious conclusion leaping even if she was right) and then at the end of the episode she's all 100% fine and happy. The others know Billy is in fact dead because he's a reaper but did they tell her about it?

Actually - there is a reaper in the basement. And as far as I'm aware it's still targeted at Waverly. And they don't know how to stop him. Possibly something to be worried about. Unless Mam's death broke the compulsion?

I love that all it takes is Waverly asking please and Doc went in to join the others even though he was really super not in the mood.

If Wynonna's reasoning is that "they never would have stopped coming for us" then she should probably hunt down Cleo and murder her too. I believe Cleo is the last Clantons so that would clean that up instead of leaving her there to be a loose end to declare vengeance on the Earp clan. Again.

Billy the Reaper was a lot less scary and effective than his uncle.
