Whispers Under Ground by Ben Aaronovitch
Mar. 7th, 2021 10:08 pmI liked it a lot.
+ I'm very happy Lesley did in fact join the Folly and become an apprentice. I love the bigger role she had in this book.
+ Still really like Lesley and Peter's relationship and how well their partnership works. I also really appreciate that Peter doesn't treat her any different even if he's still internally struggling with the mess that is her face.
+ I love that Peter's starting to get a reputation - basically everywhere.
+ Enjoyed the whole sewer search section. Peter + Kumar + Reynolds was a fun combination. I loved the sewer luge.
+ Kumar is great. This series is good at adding interesting side characters and I really appreciate how Peter's network of allies and knowledge is expanding with each book.
+ Abigail is totally going to be Peter's future apprentice isn't she? I can't wait. His solution of basically making her an asset/informant is a little suspect but sounds like it could lead fun places.
+ Peter's stare down with Fleet's dog amused me.
