Déjà Vu

I was absolutely down for Ah Eum choosing to kill herself to protect Yeon but forcing Yeon to kill her, using him as her weapon of her suicide, was so cruel. Her bringing up with her last words that she said she'd protect him would have worked a lot better if she hadn't just caused him deep mental anguish! WTF, Ah Eum?

Imugi declaring that Yeon stole his position as mountain god is interesting. He added that Yeon stole his place at Ah Eum's side and we know that Ah Eum was a promised sacrifice to Imugi from birth (only for her father to take her place) which is something I'd like to know more about. I'm also interested to see how these two situations tie together, if they do. It feels like they should.

I liked Yeon vowing to only see Ji Ah as herself and not as Ah Eum's reincarnation.

I loved how soft and pleased Rang was over Yeon's call and his big smile when answering the door. He is so bad at playing cool with his emotions. He's like the opposite of Yeon.

Awww, Yeon bringing a branch of azalea back from the mountain for Rang is so sweet.

Rang hitting the end of his natural life span is very worrying. Is this going to be a redemption via death situation? Because I'd really rather not.

Yeon absolutely didn't try to kill Rang, I believe him. But leaving him behind without medical help to the point he need the CEO's intervention of a human soul in order to live shows a serious miscalculation on his part. Or Rang hadn't actually needed the soul to live but the CEO used it to heal the wound making him think he needed it in order to get a contract with him. I'd buy that.

I have so much love for the fact that Ji Ah immediately went to Sae Rom and Jae hwan and told them the entire truth because, since they were the people she was closest to, they would be in danger and she wanted to protect them. Amazing. Telling people all the facts when they are unaware of a danger.

Ah Eum seemed to have a very happy life with past Sae Rom and Jae hwan and their little family was very cute.

Yoo Ri's devotion and protectiveness of Rang is nice but her facing down Yeon felt very much like a kitten hissing at a lion, heh. Yeon absolutely thought the same thing and found her adorable and amusing.

The Yeon/Shin Joo scene was very sweet. I'm glad that Yeon thanked Shin Joo for all he's done because he really has gone above and beyond. I liked their little discussion about the slave contract Shin Joo signed and Yeon's suggestion that the bribe officials to get him a desk job instead, heh. Yeon giving his blessing on Yoo Ri was great and Shin Joo's gleeful reaction was adorable.

Shin Joo declaring that he's going to live a long time is scary because now that just feels like foreshadowing.

I like the similarity between Shin Joo and Yoo Ri - both saved by the brothers and in response becoming devoted to them - and how they're finding a new connection with each other.

Yeon scaring the crap out of the CEO was very satisfying.

I really don't know what they are going for with the Taluipa and Eui Ong relationship. It's so unpleasant all around - his story of how they got married, his fear of her, the harsh way she treats him - and I'm left wanting them to break up.

Rang's true desire back when he was angry and lashing out was for both Yeon and him to die and go into the afterlife together. Of course it was.

I liked Eui-ong waylaying Rang and telling him how to deal with his contract with the CEO. Now he needs to go to Yeon and tell him everything so they can put their heads together and come up with a plan. Bring Ji Ah in too.

Is Imugi's mind-reading ability not working on Ji Ah because she has a piece of him? You'd think it would go the opposite way.
