+ I already like Amalia and Penance's friendship and partnership. They work really well together.
+ I feel like Amalia's power is more than limited precognition as 'ripplings' but also seems to me this general sense of awareness of what's happening around her and of what she herself can do (see her jumping down the centre of the stairwell.)
+ The spaceship at the end was genuinely stunning. I loved the design of it.
+ The fact that it was a spaceship releasing balls of light that caused 'the touched' does make it a lot more intriguing for me. I am so curious about it's origin and reasoning.
+ I like Penance and her inventions are great. I loved the twirling shock grenade.
+ I liked the whole scene with the Beggar King. How unmoved and unscared Amalia was through the entire scene, Penance watching them like a tennis match, Declan throwing out them stealing the crown jewels for him and their silent debate over it leaving him instead confused that they were actually considering it, and then that great moment at the end when he tries to threaten Amalia and she leans into the knife and freaks him out.
+ Very curious about what Amalia meant when she said "this isn't my face".
+ I like Doctor Cousens.
